I'm in the process of gathering some parts to build my exhaust and wanted to
see how creative you guys have gotten with yours.
Since I have tons of room, my plans are dual one on each side of driveshaft with pipes exiting in front of rear tires. Thorley Tri-Ys, Thunderbolt cats, magnaflow muffs all in 2.5" tubing.

So, like the title says if you got pics of your exhaust postem. Not just tailpipes but full underbody shots to, with a list of what you have.

I don't have mine quite yet, however I have it completely designed. Mine is going from headers, to straight pipes (I am thinking 2 and a half inch). This will go back and bend with one 60 degree angle on each side to glasspacks, these will go infront of the rear tires.
I'm still open to header brands and glass pack brands (keeping in mind it has to be something I can get in canada)

Its pretty loud even with the two huge mufflers. The dual 3" made the tone louder but deeper. I also have long tubes so that probably adds to the loudness.

Running mine true dual from headders two 2.5 magnaflow cats 2.5 x-pipe and 2 two chambers mufflers with dumps for the exit all runs on the passenger side. Will start 2.5 then go 3 inch after x pipe into mufflers should sound nice and no more pops.

Whippled2dr ,
Thats a sweet set up. I'm planning on doing mine like yours but I have a 2wd so I have quite a bit more room. Is it obnoxiously loud? What kind of power are you making with your set up? I'm jealous.

718frankb,
Very creative. How does it sound? Is it a Flowmaster? If so what series?

DJTricky,
How does it sound inside with the Flows? Any drone?

destroyer1362,
How does that sound with the Borla? Also how does it sound from going to a di/si to si/so? Specs on muffler?

Thanks guys

i dont really know what you mean by drone. but it sounds nice. im actually gonna cut them off soon and weld on my turbo flange, so its gonna be 100% straight untill i get the turbo on in late spring.

The muffler is a borla turbo 2.5 center in/ offset out, and the y-pipe is a stamped magnaflow 2in in/2.5 in out. When idling you can only hear a light rumble inside the truck. I think its quieter then a fm 40. When accelerating it gets pretty loud but not overwhelming, you can still carry on a conversation. I'm pretty sure it so quiet inside bc im running a single out. One more thing, according to my friends the thing is pretty loud if your driving next to me if that makes any sense.

DJTricky,
Flows are known to drone, it has to do with exhaust pulses. It basically makes talking while driving impossible and if you listen to the radio it has to be very loud to overcome the drone.
Turbo flanges, ooooooh please tell more.

destroyer1362,
very cool, thank you for the info, I apprecite it.

I'll be waiting impatiently for those pics, haha.
I know when I had my flow it droned like crazy, I think it droned more because I had made a 2.5" si/so into a 2.5"di/3"do w/90 bends pointing out in front of the rear tire. Even with the pipes pointing out from under the truck, it still droned. It had more to do with the mods done to the muffler.

update: It looks like I'm going to stick with the Thorly Y pipe and run it in the stock location. I thought I had enough SS to run it the other way but, unfortunately I dont.
