I noticed this morning when I opened the lift glass to put some things in the trunk, it didn't stay up and I had to hold it up. Tahoe isn't even a month old. Any suggestions?

Worse case scenario, I take it to the dealer.

Have you driven with the glass open at all? Also, look at the shocks to see if there is any oil on them. Could be the shocks just failed.

It turns out, your supposed to click the shock in twice, the mechanic that fixed it last month did not have both the left and right shocks in all the way. Another mechanic came out, apologized and tightened everything.

question..is the lift glass supposed to pop open and raise itself up ? or just pop open and manually raised up?

If you are talking about just the glass, not the liftgate, the answer is just pop open. Does not swing up. At least on my Denali that is how it is. The Denali's come with the power operated liftgate which raises the entire liftgate with the push of a button. (sometimes, when it decides to work)
