Doing a lil somethin to the headlights

Nice! Did you bake them to allow separation of the housing? If so, how long and at what temperature?

Are you painting them to color match the body or painting them black?

I'm gonna do a lil custom stuff. All i can say is there will be LED's and paint. I didnt go the oven route. I used my heat gun. It only took me about 5 mins to seperate them.

Heat gun huh? Can you elaborate on what all that method entails? I'd prefer that over baking the housings.

Was real easy actually. I just turned the setting to medium heat on my heat gun and moved it along the seam until it was pliable. That was it really. No big deal.

those are yukon lights. are you going to mod them to fit your avi?

yukon headlights on an Avi.. you be interesting... can't wait to see the finished product.

Do they even fit... from the looks of it, the Yukon light look like they come up higher into the hood

I've seen it done before, but not around here. I never really liked my front end and I would never put an Escalade clip on my truck. So I figured I'd do the next rarest thing. So GMC it is.
