where is fuel filter 2005 tahoe

Ok, I searched on the forum before I purchased a filter. Everything led me to believe it was on the frame rail below the drivers seat. I can only find the fuel pump with lines going to the engine and lines going to the gas tank. I just read that it could be in the tank or built into the pump. Which one is it?

Stumped...

Should be were you say it is. Did you get under the truck and look INSIDE the frame rail?

Multiple times and this isn't the first time I have worked on cars/trucks. I will look once more and take a pic. thanks for the reply.

Looked again for the fifth time and I only see the fuel pump and the hard lines. Not one place for a fule filter to be attached any where. Must be on top of the tank or built into the pump.

That doesn't look like the fuel pump to me. That looks like the abs system. I believe those are brake lines. Any how check this out-

A 2005 has no fuel filter. GM stopped putting fuel filters and cabin air filters in all the trucks and SUVs in either 2003 or 2004. If a parts supplier shows a filter listed for a 2005, then its the screen that is on the pump inside the tank.

Thats not the fuel pump. The fuel pump is inside the gas tank. The parts in your pictures are part of the ABS system.
