-didn't want to hi-jack UATAHOE's thread :)

I am thinking of getting a set of rims & tires for winter & am leaning towards some simple black ones w/ more aggressive tires - any suggestions would me most appreciated!

Something like this? These are Police Tahoe rims with 285/70-17 Goodyear Duratracs. You can get the cheap gray work truck wheels and paint them or powdercoat them black. That's what I did.

Look into the MB Motoring Gunner 6 wheels in the machined finish. It is clear coated and did well for me last winter. They look great on my gray tahoe. Which reminds me I need to get some updated pictures.

Thanks everyone for responding - I think I will go w/ the Cragars - who did you order them through, & what tires do you have on yours?

Summit racing has them. On mine (I have the chrome versions on my 77) I run Goodyear Wrangler RTS but there are many different tires that would be just as good if not better :)

Check Craigslist. I find sets of the work truck wheels (posted above) all the time for less than $100 a set. Then just paint them.
