HD Conversion...anybody try it yet??

Came across this on the internet and wondered if anybody here has tried doing the HD front end conversion?? Looks like it would be a clean swap but not sure. I like the grille and valance and think it would look pretty good on the tahoe. the valance on the white truck is the PIAA valance which has been discontinued... any thoughts??

Everything will swap over w/o any probs. All I did was the HD hood and just painted the stock grille.

As JK said, will swap over, if you do the bumper though, you have to cut, move, weld, whatever you want to say, the brackets because of the dip on bumper and the grille. I have some pics of a tahoe w/ a full HD front end, if you like i can try to find them. Looks cool, i like just the hood IMO, but complete is diff. All though on GMFS, i think, there is a guy w/ a full black silverado w/ hd painted front looks killer..

and just saw your from pasadena tx, like near almeda mall area?

if your talking about the single cab black one, i've seen it and it looks nice. i like the hood too but i'd like to do the whole thing if i can.. i might 'accidentally' hit a tree or something and just let the insurance cover it. LOL post the pic of the tahoe if you got it i'd like to see it.

yeah that single cab one. Thought i had a pic of that truck, maybe on another usb stick. idk.. but i Love his truck, just need his front end. lol...
and Opps, where did that tree come from... lmao... It moved... lol

thats bad ass!! exactly the look i'm going for except on a lifted truck. man its the same color too.

yeah when i was looking for it, i said damn, same color.. lol...

i think he is on gmfs, he has a build thread i think and some more pics in the light and all but couldnt find any front pics. But i like it...

its different...

and 225 alright... i know what your talking about.. and lifted truck would be sweet.

yeah i can't go too high cause i still have lil ones that need to be able to get in and out without the use of a ladder or small lift. hahaha maybe just 3" or so...or whatever boss lady lets me do.

lol.... i want a jacked up new Sierra. Thats my next project. One day. Could always get those retractable ladders, steps.. Fold away and out of site.. Pretty cool.

That HD conversion looks awesome! I haven't seen it done before. Definitely something I would consider if I ever wanted to change out what I already have.

A all red HD front would look pretty sweet. I have yet to see that..

that would look sweet... you've already got the hood....just need the rest! you could sell the SS bumper and put that towards the HD front...

yea man that ***** tight i wana be the first one in DFW to have it i am getting my 2500HD Tow mirrors tomorrow and then nexr week grill and next next week upper bumper pad then moving bumper down by NFAMUS my boy keith will do the bumper and ill be set hole 2500HD and i may even do the roof lights idk yet

Cleaned out photobucket, deleted by accident. Added them back up plus one more, a black tahoe. should work now

Couldnt ever find any dead on front ones though. Still looking for some.
