im trying to help my dad fix his abs system
this is a 5.3l non 4x4
he had the brake pads and rotors replaced then one of the calipers went out as well and had that replaced
after the caliper was replaced im not sure if they bled the system correctly
when you press on the brake pedal it intermittently kicks the pedal back and the abs system kicks on.
I have no abs light on either
my dad took it to some alley mechanic to check the wheel sensors and he said they are fine
he said that the abs modulator might be defective
the mechanic disconnected the abs connector and the brakes work fine without it
I need to know if it is actually the abs modulator valve or abs computer or the whole system
also if I replace this unit when I bleed the brakes do I start from the furthest wheel from the unit and work my way up?
I want to fix this before the snow comes because my mom mostly drives this truck
thanks for any info
