Hello:
Have a '94 Burb -2500 Diesel. It has been stalling lately. It's a California Burb that passed emissions. Had been running well. We put 2 new batteries in it and then it started stalling - no pattern yet. It has always started back up, but sometimes falters and stalls again (not always). There was a period when the PO ran it biodiesel. He said he had stalling problems where they would get stranded...so he converted back to standard diesel and presto no more regular stalling problems (biodiesel messes with optical sensor on fuel line [?]). Any thoughts?
TIA.

You need to check for air in the fuel. You could have a bad line. Also, Bio is ******* the pumps and the early GM diesel didn't have the greatest history with injection pumps. You could instal and auxiliary lift pump ( just your basic Carter fuel pump will work) between the tank and the injection pump, if that helps, then you know your injection pump has seen better days. The 6.5 diesel like you have are a good engine when you can keep them supplied with good air free fuel.
