Painting Stock wheels black

I have 17in 5 spoke tahoe wheels, ones that come on some 04,05, and 06 tahoes, I am thinking about painting them black. I just have never seen any black so I dont know what it would look like. Can anyone who has those wheels painted black post up, and post opinons of the wheels painted black too (not sure if it would look good).

They are like the wheels on this car. (my car is black)

personally I would like some Yukon 18s (tribar) or SS 20s with the first finish.

eh.....If you put some big meaty tires on them and blackout the rest of the truck then maybe, but I'm with Eagle on the SS 20's

not sure that I like them... maybe if they left the chevy gold in the hubcap? or they were painted differently

Those are one of my fav factory rims.

If done right they will look cool black.

Maybe paint the center cap bowtie red would look awesome too!

I don't think so. the yukon 20s are my favorite of all the NBS + NNBS wheels.

Such a nice contrast between the machined and painted portions of the wheel.

I have these exact wheels in black and please do not paint them. Just take them off get them sand blasted and take them to a professional powder coater. The powder coating left a perfect glossy black finish. It only ran me a about $200 but makes a huge difference. Ill try to get pics.

Hahaha. Well i dont have to post pictures Tahoe7689 already did it for me. That is my Tahoe on ebay for sale. I am not selling it anymore I like it to much. That's funny though. Just check out that link though thats what mine look like.

I have stock 16" GMC rims on my maroon 2003 Tahoe LT that I painted matte black with regular old Yokohama Geolander tires and it looks great!

Literally bought these rims,tires and the spare for $60 so I could return to the stock offset. I was thinking about painting them black, but after seeing your pics I think I'll stick with the alloy finish. Just a preference- I like both the same, so why put the effort forth.
