MSD vs Accel

Anyone have any experience using the different brands. Im looking at upgrading everything in my ignition and it seems like accel has a kit for it all where as msd sells parts independently. Price really isnt an issue but id like to know what you guys think about the 2. Also, what would be the benefits of replacing the entire distibutor with an msd and do you guys have any part numbers. Its for a 99 yukon vortec 5.7.

Well...I was going to buy the ACCEL Coil instead of the MSD one. It was cheaper and put out more.

Read reviews and said how ACCEL lies in their tests and there quality is poor.
So I got MSD.

I bought one and still have yet to install it yet. haha i should take that off my sig huh? but anyways, i couldnt tell ya on how good it is. I bought mine used for 150bucks, i should just sell mine :/

not unless you need one, a 6A will help, and possibly MSD wires.

I'm upgrading to MSD accept for the Distributor Accel makes a nice Billet, MSD does not have one available for our trucks (please correct me if I'm wrong about that)

I am using the accel billet distributor for the 96-99 vortec have had no issues. Thier coil however was junk fell apart when I took it off to redo the coil wire the plastic snub snapped off. Everything else is msd wires and coil have not gotten the 6A yet.

Dont use accell.. I ran that junk on my tbi and never again! I bought the whole tune up kit.. Trashed that junk

i use msd as well!!!

MSD cap and wires. I ran their dist and ignition box in a mustang I built and it was less than reliable.
