Got to thinking about replace my swaybar and took a hard look at my links....this is what I saw! Can you find Waldo?

Ya is that messed up or what LOL? Gunna fix that after lunch

Flowpro true duals....Corsa tips. (hopefully) Removing them in two weeks with Magnas before my BB tune..streeeeetching that budget!

Here is the "offset" I was referring to in a previous thread on my driver side link..see how the link is offset on each end? I thought that was weird....doesn't look like it's functional for anything? Might as well be a straight link as far as I'm concerned

Damn someone really didn't know when they were installing that sway. I wonder why it was off before?

I have no idea, coz he was having a lapse in rational judgement? Same guy did short work of my bumpstop bracket with a plasma so he's not THAT dumb....but still. This is why I do all the work on my own now, so if I don't know how - I ask you guys a bunch of questions :D

Mis read that....it was off to install the new links when I lowered the truck, but I didn't do the work at that time....I reinstalled almost everything except the links and the front spindles when I did the free travel mod and removed the isolators for the springs....and I didn't notice the passenger link like that.

I don't think anything is wrong. The links are offset in order to move your sway bar about 2'' to the passenger's side in order to clear the panhard. The link being mounted on the outside with the retaining spacer is correct. On your driver's side the offset should be pushing the sway toward the passenger side and if I remember correctly from when I dropped mine I put the link on the outside of the sway bar. I really had to push my sway hard and the driver's side bracket is pretty much in the curve of the sway bar, I need to relocate the bracket on the frame so it is on the straight part of the sway bar. It looks like your sway bat does not clear your panhard on the passenger's side but it's hard to tell with the truck jacked up. The links may be on the wrong sides as well, I had mine wrong at first and my sway bar was denting the bottom of my panhard and I went through 2 6'' bolts on the passengers side because they were bending due to having the offset links wrong.....

Here is mine, could be wrong too but since I switched it to this no more bending, scraping the panhard, or clanking

I would guess that the way that end link is oriented could make a difference in whether
it is perfectly vertical or not.

Whoever did your drop is not a complete idiot. The link is set up per the McGaughey's instructions- the sway bar however, is not. It needs to move 2" towards the pass side. Once you do that, the sway bar will bolt to the pass side of the links, and the reason for the offset link on the driver's side will become apparent. Took me a little head scratchin' too, as the McGaughey's instructions are vague and contain shatty pics. Grocery Getter's comment on moving the driver's side axle bracket is correct as well.

Time to break out the jack stands! :)

Its already on jacks! Gopnna fix that shiot...could it cause a vibration this way?

Gringo hot it on the head, the sway should bolt to the passenger's side of the links. You will need to loosen up the sway brackets almost all the way to get the bar to move enough to the passengers side so it clears the panhard, mine took some serious tugging and I bolted everything on the passenger's side in place first. It's a pain in the ass due to the location of the driver's side sway bracket, it does not allow the sway bar to move too much so if you drill new holes in the frame a few inches over and relocate the bracket with some new hardware everything will fit like a glove......Something the install instructions fail to mention......I still need to do this but I am clearing the panhard so I have been putting it off...

That looks janky as fuck, I think I'm gonna have to cut the panhard bracket completely off and build a new adjustable one with a heimed end. Even with my drop in back the sway bar links clear. I think something along these lines will work well, built from DOM tubing with a few welded eyelets for the brake cable

Here's a pic of the whole sway, driver to passengar..I don't see any clearance issues and haven't heard any knocking. I do, however, still have a VERY VERY annoying vibration throughout the entire truck.

The clearance problem will be at the passenger side, near the panhard pivot. The sway bar will contact in this area when you hit a bump or dip- or with bags, when aired-out.

Vibration could be pinion angle. Did you use the trailing arm relocators?

I wouldn't worry about pinion angle, people running 7" or less bagged are still ok. BTW pinion angle:

except on our trucks you need to change the control arms (the 4 stamped pieces of metal that go from in front of the wheels to the top/bottom of the axle). I've checked my pinion angle with the 5" drop and it's fine.
