Overhead DVD - No Video

I bought an 07 Tahoe with the factory flip down DVD screen. It will not play the DVD's. It didnt come with headphones, do I have to have headphones for the video to display? I've never owned a vehicle with a DVD player.

No, you do not have to have headphones. I would start by checking the fuses.

Thank You for the replies !! The screen does come on and I've switched thru all of the different input modes. No sound, no video just blue screen. I do have the remote.

Have you tried to hook anything up through the rear video inputs?
