Does anyone know what oil a 2006 4.8 Tahoe takes? Is it the 75w-90? Also do I need to add the LSD modifier? Want to go with Royal Purple

yea..75-90w. Royal Purple is great stuff.

No you dont need an LSD Modifier, do you even have an LSD?

Do the Tahoe's come with an LSD? I seriously doubt I have one, but how could I tell?

If you have a diff its a G80 which isn't a LSD its a gov-lock. So you dont need LSD additive.

Grenade-locs are still a limited slip, they're just terrible. Royal purple is synthetic so it IS a friction modifier, I gained some mileage from changing all my diffs over to the purple shat...smoother engagement of the g80 too.

the 01-02 denalis have the NV149 transfer case I believe which I've heard good things about.

how much fluid do the diffs take anyways....im sure the obvious answer is in my manual but i dont know where that is now

buy 4 quarts, rear take a bit over 2 front is just under 2 iirc.
