just bought an 07 tahoe ltz with the 5.3L. trying to find some reviews/performance results on the ngk plugs, but nothing out there really. I've pretty much decided to get the taylor thundervolt wires, but am still open to recommendations there to if anyone has anything. So, if anyone has anything to say about ngk iridium plugs or any other advice regarding plugs and wires, I'm all ears!!! I used to own a 98 dodge ram, this is my 1st chevy. Also, just purchased the slp CAI kit for it. Thanks!!!!

Theres a few people on here using the NGK55 plugs gapped to .04. Seem to work well for me anyway. Dont know about the wires, never changed mine, need to though. Hopefully someone here will chime in with some more for ya!

NGK irridium (sp?) are good plugs. I am only at ~40k so I am not even close to changing those out. What mileage are you at?

I always recommend AC Delco plugs, and you can't go wrong buying the delco wires. The delco irridium plugs are around 7 dollars a piece from auto zone, and the only place i could find the wires was oreilly and they are about 100 dollars. The wires are lifetime warranty and you know you got good parts cause they are Delco. Whatever you do, do not put Bosch plugs in anything. They are junk.

check out rockauto.com before you order anything from an auto parts store.

Wow would you vouch for them because I can save around 60 bucks ordering plugs and wires from them over getting them from local parts stores even with shipping.

There is no reason to replace the plugs and wires with anything other than OEM stuff. Unless you have forced induction, you will see no gains from changing them out.
