I bought a 97 Vortec 350 from a suburban. It has 200,000 miles on it. Ran great when pulled.

I bought the motor mainly for the Vortec heads.

I want to use them on my '95 Tahoe TBI.

I know its been done a few times, just want to know the best combo to use.

My Tahoe has 150,000 on it, burns no oil and runs strong.

I 'm thinking of Putting the Vortec heads, New intake , and possibly a cam in it. Also going to need a good tuned chip for this combo.

Just want a nice boost in useable power and an extra MPG wouldnt be bad either.

I know GMPP has a TBI to Vortec intake, but ive read i can use an Edelbrock Vortec intake and use a TBI adapter? If that would work just as well or better than the GM intake i'm all for it.

Any cam reccomendations? Like i said its just a daily driver and i dont want to kill driveability or MPG, Im thinking a comp cams 212/218 ??

I figure i should put Z06 valvesprings in the heads and seals before i install them?

Also Im thinking i might want to bump up the Fuel PSI inthe TBI? Whats the best way to do this? ( I see the JET reg. in summit but it only goes to 13 PSI ?? ). Will i need a larger fuel pump?

Any advice or experience with this combo would be appreciated. thanks!
