What's the main differences between the 2007+ Tahoes and Yukons besides the front bumper, grille, headlight, hood, fender, and tail lights? I'm seriously thinking about getting a Yukon over a Tahoe now. Please give me some feedback.
Post pictures of your Yukons.
Thanks,

D - The Yukons have the rear appliques (D-pillars?) in black, regardless of body color. Personally, I don't like it, and I don't get it. Also, the Yukons have a different, curved body side molding (which I also don't like). What I DO like are their standard 20" (6 spoke?) wheels. They look good to me (better than my stock 5-spokers). And then there are some interior differences.
Get the Tahoe!!! LOL

Hey Kirk, well you know whatever I get it will have to be black black black!:Handshake: I'm like you I don't like the body side molding but that's nothing a little dental floss and goo gone can't take off lol! I'm planning on putting my wheels from my Silverado on a Yukon if I go that route.
What is the difference in the interior that your talking about?

Is the bolt pattern the same on a Yukon as the Tahoe? 6x5.5 with a high 30ish offset?

How does the chrome hood trim piece come off? If I go with a Yukon it will have to get painted black!:D This is how I plan on making a Yukon look if I go with one.

No doubt about it, that Yukon is sick!
Ok, so the 20"s are an "upgrade" -- I was just saying that they're OEM, and I prefer them to my "upgrade" wheels. LOL
D -- I think the wood is darker on the Denalis. Also, there may be some more wood in different areas (like maybe on the wheel? Not sure though..).
Just get it done already! HAHA

The obvious has been mentioned; grill, tail lights, and the applique above the rear taillalmps. Interior wise, they're similar. Different trim levels warrant different dash wood/brushed alum. scenarios. I searched for both Suburban's and Yukon XL's last summer, not really caring which one I ended up with, but I prefer the looks of the GMC over the Chevy. There are fewer of them too.

Yukons are less common than the Tahoe. I really think both are good, I like the Yukon applique above the LP better than the Tahoe one, which is why I changed mine to the Yujon one. I don't like the DRL/LB and HB design the Yukon has compared to the seperate bulb system the Tahoe is running. Apart from these I could car less about the other differences, I looked at both when I got my Tahoe!

Besides your trim level having the jumperseat the only difference to me looks like the brushed aluminum radio bezel and the silver steering wheel peices. I believe those came off the new body style Silverados.:Handshake:

I didn't like the silver bezel and replaced it with matching wood dash trim. The Tahoe has an OEM replacement //the Yukon does not (no matching wood dash) for some reason.:Boo:
. I have the SLT . I can't find the photo I had of the dash, sorry.
Over all the front grill /headlights etc.. are the biggest difference and that comes down to personal opinion.

DWDrummer ... what are those headlights? Are those a custom projector fitted into the stock Yukon lights? I have been trying to find some high-quality projectors that aren't all riced out with angel eyes and LEDs like some of the eBay ones. I have heard that the plastic projectors will melt if you do an HID conversion...

Those are the stock headlight housing painted black with retro fit projectors! I think it make the Yukon fronts look so good.

I'd like to know more about the retro fit projectors. Was it a difficult mod requiring custom fabrication and baking of the housing?

Those things are so dope...and exactly what I am looking to do. I dislike the crazy eBay angel eyes with all of the blue LEDs and stuff...I just want a nice clean projector that is high quality and well-fit for an HID conversion. Is that your Yuke? If not, do you have any more info on how/where to get that done? I have seen one other 07-09 Yukon conversion in a different forum that used an Infinity G35 projector and was very tight, but other than that I can't seem to find a basic projector setup for an '07! Thanks for the response

I found these for $700 at http://www.izntrbl.com/0708-yukon-denali-projector-headlights-p-439.html... using your own stock housings! I'll be doing the previously mentioned "Thewes" mod myself instead though...

Those are amazing...pretty sure that they are the same Infinity projector retrofit ones that I was talking about. It is really surprising to me that there aren't more options for a simple projection housing for 07-09 Yukons...

I assume that those would work in a standard '07 Yukon if they work in a new body style Denali, right?

also for every 6 tahoes, they make one yukon. more time spent into making gmc's, higher resale value, and also a layer of sound dampening material in the body panels keeping road noise down. Tahoes do not have this. i think the both are sweet!

Go with a Yukon dude! You won't be disappointed. If you got extra cash too get a Denali. Feels like your in a jet when you drive that thing. Best feeling in the world. Good luck!

Get the Tahoe!!! LOL
Denalis come with 20s with 8 spokes, Yukons got 17s. :Handshake:
I think both the tahoe and the yukon are nice trucks. I think this is the best design GM has come up with. Not sure what they can do to make it better. One thing I like about the yukon is no matter what trim level you buy you will always get the painted door handles and mirror caps unlike the tahoe which is what i have. The LS comes with the black handles and mirror caps. But I am thinking that price wise a base model yukon could run you a little bit more than than a base model tahoe. What I do like better on the yukon than the tahoe are the 20"s. Not sure if it's because you don't see as many yukons compared to tahoes but those wheels are sweet!

I've always been die hard GMC, but I saw another Victory Red Tahoe in town earlier this week with everything painted red like my Yukon, but with the factory chrome 20's...man, how I thought my black 22's would look so nice on it. Only thing I wish my Yukon had was a raised hood (for lack of better terminology) like the Yukon HYBRID has...it kind of resembles the Tahoe's hood more, which I like...makes it look larger in the front, and not so van like. Oh well, the Yukon is eventually going to my wife once we sell her car one day...so I'll have an excuse to buy another Sierra :)
