Sup Ya'll just wondering what is the max size rotors the calipers can hold i was thinkin bout using bigger rotors n pads for a future rims install i kno you cant have big rims and small brakes..but dont really wanna invest to much into it. I dont kno just wanted some insight

Well you can have bigger rims and same brakes, but you lose the safe stopping distance, your brakes produce alot more heat and wear because of rotational mass.

You can invest in better brake pads and some vented directional rotors for cheaper then a big brake kit of some sort. But, the brake kit will improve the variables stated above and will look awesome. But if you dont have the money, pads and rotors are fine.

For right around $1K you can get larger diameter cross drilled rotors with caliper relocation brackets so you can use your stock calipers. Then a good set of Hawk pads for about $200.

are hawk pads pretty quiet?
Any forum vendor carry them or links to these rotors/brakes?
Thanks in advance.

I think there are 3 "grades" of Hawk pads, from stock-like up to racing pads. There is a bit of a trade off between stopping power and dust/noise -- the more stopping power, the more dusty and noisy they are. I wouldn't recommend the racing pads on this truck (heck, I don't even know if they make them to fit this truck), as they'll work well, but will be loud and make your wheels dirty quickly. (Or so is the situation on the Z06.)
