Custom Boxes for Hoe Trunk anyone??? thread from TF

I want to kno if any of you have a custom box in the trunk space or semi trunk space of your hoe.. i had a box w/2 rockford P1 12's w/ a 1000 watt kenwood amp. i loved it but i had to fold up my 3rd row to use it and when i had to bring extra ppl, i would turn it to the side and let down 1 of the seats.. now my current install or what i want to do since my hoe was picked up a few hours ago for the passlock not letting me turn it on is have 2 orion hcca 12.2 subs put in or maybe 3 hcca 10.2 subs put in the back but facing upwards i have seen a escalade on the net with 4 10's the same way wanted to kno if any of you have sumtin similar or is there any drawbacks from doing this like price range and stuff. i plan on buying my subs off ebay but the box is the most important piece...

Whats the point of re-posting this? This was MY old thread from the other forum!! i actually got the design i wanted thanx to the guys on the forum who helped i'm now running 3 orion 10's str8 up wit amp mounted on front of the box wrapped in blk vinyl a dynomat liftgate,roof lining, sides and floor. also 4 02-6.5" speakers n the doors running off a crunch 900watt amp. on factory Nav headunit and soon to have a kinetik hc2000 battery. oh and a 5000watt orion amp for sub just waiting for sonix to deliever my other subs so i can have the hoe's space measured n box built.

If you don't need a TON of bass, you might be able to get away with something like this:

Thats what i'm running. Fits perfectly between the 2nd row captains chairs. Isn't really noticable and I still get the cargo space in the back.

yeah yeah my apologies. im having problems with my build becuz where im getting my subs decided to run out the type i need (after they take my money) so im stucc right now, that box between the captain seats in tha back is cool i would have dont that but i have small kids to use it as a walk way they would stomp all over that box, i shotting for basic box wrapped with the subs facing down so i can still put things bac there if need be, for food shopping i fold up the second row and pile everything there from 3rd row on to the front.

I have the same box with a 10" L7. It's a clean setup and I flush mounted my JL audio amp under one of the second row seats. I wouldn't recommend a 12 for the mere fact that this sealed enclosure isn't even big enough for my 10". If I turn the sub any higher then -8 on my avic z110bt it will bottom out on the lower notes. It sounds GREAT but I'd never put a 12 IMO.

We did a tahoe a month or so ago at my shop that had 2 JL Audio 13TW5 powered by 2 JL HD750.1 amps and it hit really good for the size box (wedge shape that didn't even come up to the top of the third row backrest. I don't have any pics unfortunatly but will try and get some...

I will be doing a "big" "extreme" setup in mine soon with some Digital Designs products... I will post the build when it starts...
