I just bought a buffer and i am rather scared to tackle this myself as i have heard many horror stories about guys who have taken off the clear coat with a power buffer...
which "hat" should i use, it came with Ten terry cloth hats... i dont think i want to use terry though.. advise here people, the hoe needs a manacure

No...Sounds like he's using bonnets.
THROW THEM AWAY....buy yourself a PC. Do NOT waste your time with any sort of "hat" or "bonnet".

its too late for that, i have the buffer w/ no receipt... its orbital but yes it does use bonnets...

im going to go ahead with the random orbital that i already have, its a pretty nice product... i have never detailed before though, im not too scared so long as i know i am using the correct products for their intended application

ok. you can use poorboys ssr2 with orange pad and then after that use ssr1 with a white pad.

aside from the fact that if we stoped asking questions after the first thread, we wouldnt have a very detailed forum... i though T-Ast's 101 thread could use some adding too
