My drivers side door lock switch will lock and unlock all the doors except for the drivers door. When I unlock the doors using the key fob it will unlock and lock all the doors except the drivers. I have to manually open the door by hand and unlock the drivers side door by key. Has anybody ever ran into this problem or know what I can do to fix it??
Thanks,
DwDrummer

I have heard this issue has something to do with opening the door with the keyfob when it was locked with a remote.
You can try locking all the doors and pulling the +ve battery wire for 15 minutes and then reconnecting.
I know it sounds weird but its worth the try.....

Probably the door lock actuator. Join the club....I've had 3 replaced so far, waiting for the forth one to go.

Nope they are from being cheap. When you install poor quality components they tend to break quickly. If you search it's a very common problem in the '07-up Tahoes.

Make more money. Gone long ago are the days of making quality stuff and earning an honest living. I would say most people could live rediculously comfortable on a $150,000 salary. But the big wigs of these companies need multi millions, hence brand new $35,000 to $65,000 trucks have junky door lock actuators. It would cost a few bucks more to have a quality product installed but then their profit margin would go down.

Its just odd that this wasnt an issue with the NBS...but they downgraded for the NNBS...seems like they'd spend more money making the change then just sticking with their old product.. :disgust:

that is the little motor, actuator that moves the rod atached to the lock. it what makes it go up and down up and down up and down........
and yeah if they are cheap they will burn out quick. you can either get a oem one which is better just to keep the stock plug or get a aftemarket one.
auto-loc is a very well known company for stuff like that. any audio shop can install one.

there are issues with the 07+ door lock acutators. we usually replace all 4 at the same time. company that made them didnt do a good job, and im pretty sure gm went to someone else to make them. im surprised there isnt a bulletin on them, but if you go into the dealer and tell them the drivers door doesnt work at all and the others work intermittently im pretty sure they will do all 4.

Well my dealership did not do that, Findlay Chevrolet. Driver's side went out so I went up there and they replaced it. Month or so later rear diver's side goes out and they replace it. As I get back in the truck and double check it's all working I look and the rear passenger side isn't working. They want me to bring it back another day. After much protest and explaining that I live very far from the dealership and I can't be bringing my truck down there every other day because they didn't check and make sure all the rest of the junk actuators were working, they replaced the rear passenger side. Still waiting on the front passenger actuator to go out. Oh, and they didn't re-install the rear driver door panel correctly too.
