I have used all the OTC shit, but right now I am using PB nattys blue. It's pretty good, I need to buy some migliore or the new adams stuff just for comparison though :headbang:

So what is everyones favorite and why?

Yup, migliore will be my next purchase I think, still trying to decide between that and adams though. After using poorboys wax I would say try migliore first, I wasnt overly impressed with pb, its good, just not anything really outstanding. The rest of the PB line on the other hand is just plain badass :hail:

nytahoe, sick ass ride....how you like the pb? You get a lot of dust?

shsportsfan12
05-15-2009, 12:51 AM
I've used all 3 of the Natty's. They provide a very nice finish and the paste does not really dust like their polishes do (that changed with their new formula). One thing some people have noticed is that it has the ability to attract dust. The way people get around that is to use a quick detailer spray on the applicator pad before applying the wax. This isn't an issue for everyone. Another thing is that Natty's doesn't last very long. I would say 3 months at most. It's very easy to apply and remove, so doing it often really isn't an issue. Overall a great product though

i've never used any of the poorboys waxes, but bug squash and the super slick and suds are both AMAZING. they clay they have is also a good quality and it cleaned up my uncles truck pretty good.

honestly, it looks like the new adams paste wax (americana (http://www.adamspolishes.com/p-423-adams-americana-premium-carnauba-paste-wax.aspx)) is going to be good. it's $70 for a 10oz jar, but the results appear to be amazing.

the migliore original is a great wax and can be had for half the price of adams (pm shsportsfan12 for details, he is a supplior) and i'm gonna tell ya, the first time i used it, i wasn't impressed, but the second go around was great. it's easy to apply, but takes some work to get it off. Migliore (migliorewax.com)

i haven't played around with the migliore primo... yet... but mike seems to believe in it. it's a little more than the adams, but it is 100% carnuba and from what i have seen is a high quality, hand crafted, wax. the price is i want to say $90-100. well below most of the waxes that it is being compared to and out doing.

for OTC stuff, my parents believe in turtle wax ice. the results are pretty good for OTC on my moms silver rendezvous and my dads SBM silvy.

i personally used Meguires NXT 2.0 this past week and i am a pretty big fan of how it goes on and comes off. the results on the car i used it on (a 2000 subaro imprezza wagon- metallic black, never waxed) was amazing. it popped and was very crisp. for OTC it is probably the best past i've ever used.

i think that i might order the adams wax next time i order some, but you better believe that i'm gonna scoop up some migliore in the next few days.

I used nxt for awhile on my old 03 ram and it was pretty good, was the first wax i ever used so had nothing to compare it to. My parents also swear by turtle wax ice lol i have used it and its pretty cool stuff but the depth and durability is iffy. They never actually wax their own cars but usually when i'm home i make a point to at least wash and wax their vehicles and thats what they had to use.

it's a "pre-wax" to clean up the paint before you wax.

honestly, if you want to get a wax that's easy to apply and lasts a good amount of time, you need adam's buttery wax or migliore (from glimmerglassdetailing.com).

Hell I thought Meguiers cleaner wax was wax lol. I guess I need to get some other stuff to go over the top?

I washed my ride, then dryed it, then buffed with Turtle Wax Rubbing Compound (this shit sucks except for removing swirl marks, that's all (didn't remove any scratches like it said it would lol) then used the cleaner wax. The truck was nice and slick and the water beads up on it so I thought it was good.

Not a lot of Zaino fans here it seems.

In terms of a combination of ease of use & shine - try Zaino Clear Seal (Z-CS). You don't need to use Zaino products, in order to use ZCS. Use it over the Adams/Meguires/Nu Finish/Liquid Glass/NXT/whatever. If you have clean paint already - use the ZCS only.

Wipe it on - walk away. No removal, and it protects for 6-9 months and you can do a Tahoe in about 5-10 minutes. Pretty easy...and great results, IMO.
