I've decided I don't want to take off that wonderful black trim that runs down the sides because I think it'll make my truck look goofy.....anyway, I want to take off the "1500" logo on the drivers and passengers door but was wondering if anyone knows if the trim matches underneath or is it molded to fit the 1500 badge in it? sorry for being confusing.....

The 1500 logo is just glued on to the side. Just take a heat gun (or hair dryer) and heat the area up and peel it off. Then take a sticky remover of some sort (goo gone, WD-40, etc) and remove the remaining residue and you should be good to go!

They are somewhat molded in, the "1500" signs have two tabs that go into the black molding if I remember correctly. So the trim has two slot these tabs go into.

Edit: Actually, I think the trim is also smooth behind the "1500" badges.

I'll take it off and see, I can always put them back on.

you'll be left with 2 small slots with metal rings in them on both sides, but its not flat under the badge, just the ridges like the rest.

and the colored backing on the badges will most likely crack and flake off making them look like shit, or mine did atleast.

yes them 1500 badge ie held on with little tabs you will have to

break the 1500 to get it off thats if you don'ttake the molding off.

i didn't put them back on when i put the new molding back on.
