very nice. I want to get some red ones for my red hoe. What do you think? Should I just leave the red for the cluster lights and HVAC lights. and then get blue or clear or whatever for the dome lights?

Looks good, now just gotta see how the blue lights are at illuminating the cab at night. Where'd you order em from/ what size is needed?
$100 isn't too bad compared to the $150-$175 for the Putco kit I tried ordering from stylintrucks but it was backordered and I just cancelled the order eventually.

I saw you should do red through the whole truck! :)

Red would look pretty cool, especialy when your walking up to it at night and unlock it with the remote and the inside just lights up lookin a little evil, maybe sum red puddle lights if you can swing it. I was thinkin of just a pure white but sum color might not be a bad idea, maybe just keep the overhead lights you can position white incase I need em to be useful instead of just looks

Hah, what color were/are you running, i could see where pure whites might be a little obnoxious sum of the time but the regular stock bulbs aren't doin it for me

I dont think you can do red puddle lights. or atleast the thread that Blizz linked doesnt say there are any. plus one side was fallin out so I super glued it up in there so it would prolly be a bitch to get it out of there now. and now the other side is fallin out... damn sub is makin my truck fall apart!! aahhhh! but Ill prolly never ride without subs. (right now just bumpin my single 12W7-beats like a mofo)

although I think heard of someone on hear coloring their bulbs with a marker or somethin to givem a different color.... can you do that?
and one more thing... is there any way to change the color of the green wording for your odometer?

BlizzardX23
10-17-2009, 09:28 PM
For your puddle lights...they probly werent falling out...it takes a lot of pressure to put them in..I put them in and they held just fine...but actually, if you get underneath, you can see if the clip is expanded all the way for a tight lock or not...you might wanna check...

Those blue interior lights look like they illuminate the inside alot more than I was expecting, atleast that's the way it looks in the pics. And those blue puddle lights are lookin pretty sweet and it's sumthin a bit different.

Maybe I'll do an America theme with sum red, white and blue ones

BlizzardX23
10-18-2009, 05:46 AM
Thats actually how bright they are and the color is true...if anything, they might be a TAD bit brighter in real life...but I tried to capture it as accurate as possible...no camera tricks over over exposure..thats the true color/brightness

That's crazy how bright the blue ones are, I really like the color alot!! I just bought a couple of cheap ebay LED bulbs so when I get a chance I'm gonna put them in to do some comparing, I'll more than likely be putting an order in here very soon!! Looks great!!

Yep...all the lights in my truck are blue (except two doors..the passenger front and driver rear..I didnt order enough...was 2 bulbs short)

and yea, they are all the same I believe

actually, if you look at my dome light picture....the 2nd pic...those outter bulbs are a hair too long..so that little lip is actually in the clamp too..but its still perfect...no issues :)

I want to do the dash in all blue...but I think in 03...most of the bulbs are soldered in? and 02 below are plug and play? (Im not sure...I can be totalllly WRONG)...JK might have some input

I was actually surprised....it doesnt mess with my eyes at all..I had to get used to them at first only because I was used to the regular lights...but now that I'm used to these, they arent a problem :)

I've got to get myself some quality tools. I have a toolbox that I used when I used to race downhill mountain bikes. Some of the tools are useful, but most are bike specific. That setup looks really nice though!

BlizzardX23

I would really like to replace my cluster with these gauges...

Very clean and smooth looking...simple, not flashy at all..I like those

rockymt21
10-20-2009, 08:59 PM
I would love digital gauges as well. I imagine the install wouldn't be very easy though? At least for me lol.

BlizzardX23
10-20-2009, 09:05 PM
It looks like all you do is connect the gauge to the existing wires..Im just wondering how to mount them...you'd have to make a custom cluster plate...

I like those because its a plain black face with just the blue numbers..no fancy designs...no fancy colors (orange, yellow, red...etc)...when they are off, they are black...when they are on, all you see is the blue numbers
