Ok I know most of you aren't fans of window vent visors, but I really need some. Down here in the south it gets verrry hot and rains about 3 times a week so I need to crack the window without worrying about water getting in. I had these on my Tahoe and really liked them, but I had the stick-on kind and the adhesive tape didn't last. So my question is, can anyone suggest a good in-channel vent visor for our trucks? Lund? AutoVentShade? VentVisor? Other?
TIA

I am picking up a set I hope this weekend when I head to New York State for a little bit of camping. I am getting them from auto zone. DO NOT GET the ones that stick on the paint. Get the vent shades that go in the channel. They look alot more sleek and dont stick out like a sore thumb. Best of all they dont stick on the paint. Here is the link. http://www.autozone.com/autozone/catalog/parts/partsProduct.jsp?displayName=Vent+Wind+Deflector&itemId=prod10773&navValue=15400469&parentId=cat10011&productId=562252&fromString=search&itemIdentifier=562252_87812_11839_&filterByKeyWord=vent&categoryNValue=15499999&isSearchByPartNumber=false&categoryDisplayName=TrimAccessories&store=1820&skuDescription=AutoVentshade/VentWindDeflector&fromWhere=&searchText=vent&_requestid=270130&_requestid=270264&_requestid=270394 btw its the same set as my 2004 burb. I figured it would be but checked anyway.

Check out http://www.weathertech.com/
I think the visors I have are ventshades (in-channel) or something like that and I didn't plan on them lasting as long as they have. A friend of mine ordered them for his car and they look more flush/flat and they come in different shades of tint (light or dark). When or if mine give out or break these are the new ones I will get.

IF you do get the ones that stick on the paint, biggest issue with them not sticking is cleaning...be sure to really clean area with alcohol, really good.

I didn't care for the 'outies' either because of the tape and the flapping around when they come loose. I went with AVS in-channels but my long term concern is dirt and grit getting into the channel and scratching up the glass. I know it's a tight fit with mine and the shades rub tight on the glass edge.
Shame they have to stick out so far that they look like eyebrows on my truck :) A different brand may be lower profile than AVS.

Didn't someone make them in clear?

Doesn't someone make a slim shade? I can't stand ventshades really. I like a clean look on the hoe. I did have avs on my s10
