Stock wheel coating removal

How do you take off the protective coating on the stack rims. Mine is peeling and looks like crap. Want to take the old off and reclear them until I can put some aftermarket on.

either sand it off or sand blast it.. im sand blasting mine this winter and having a shop powerdercoat mine for 50 bucks each

Thanks...and before I say anything else , I've gotta say that you have the HOE on tnhe forum for that body style. How did you prep the door handles and front air dam? Did you have to use special paint for plastic? And which kit did you use for the drop?
As for the wheels...I'm just trying to make them look good till this spring when I plan to go with some 18s.... and fresh new engine.

if i remember correctly he stated that he replaced his stock door handles with older model ones, because the old ones are smooth and glossy, while newer one come with a dull pattern on it impossible for paint

Drowndindreams is right on that one.. I had gotten some later models door handles that were metal and smooth like said. But i just sanded them and unclipped the spring in the back and flipped the handle to the open position and painted them like that..
The air dam is also smooth. Just sanded to get all the imperfections out, primed, sanded again maybe more primer then shot with paint. No need for adhesion promoter if done right. (wax and grease and such)
