airbags to keep ride height or for lift..is it possible?

Wondering if putting bags in the back of my hoe would be worth it. I don't want to lower it, but if i could swap the springs out for bags in the rear and get a better ride that would be awesome. (not sure if bags ride better or not). But i am also looking at it for the purpose of pulling a trailer and being able to air it up in the rear(my dads yukon sags like heck with his boat on the bag..its like your going to the moon)...i have seen the bags inside your coils but dont know if they work as well?? if this is possible and worth it...what size bag do i need to get and can i get it slid into the original coil spring pocket?


is there a way to bag the front? my torsions are cranked to the max now cause it was sagging. Not sure how bags would work in the front since i have 4x4... i assume you would need to get rid of the torsion bars..and the bag might install like a coil over shock setup? or a bracket system that hooks into the torsion bar hole?

input on this would be great... mainly plan on the rear end mods especially if it will help my ride quality. but the front would be cool too, cause i have been thinking about a snow plow for it so i can get some extra $$ during our long mn winters.

The front you don't have very many options. You could do a front end conversion but that is going to be very expensive. The rear you can add helper bags. such as the airlift bags and I believe firestone also makes some.

check out some airlift helper bags, I love mine and they lift the truck slightly over stock...pulls a trailer much better too.

Odie, if you're still interested. I've got a couple Airlift 1000's shoved in the coils in the back of my Hoe. I specifically put 'em in for towing. Looks like you've got an '04, so that would work in the back of yours. You can go wit a more serious set up if you like. If you're on a budget, the cheapest I found em was on Amazon, 65 bucks tax and shipping. Install's super easy. You can put a compressor in your engine bay and a reg under your dash if you want to go a little more out. That install isn't as easy. My bags took about 30 min to put in, and they raise the rear a little bit if you fill em up when you aren't towing. If you want more info, pm me.

As far as the front goes, I think you're looking at a more serious investment. This is the cheapest thing I could find and there wasn't much info on it.
