Just wondering. I saw my buddys tahoe today after he restored the lenses with 3M kit. They look so much better now. Its like an aftermarket light. Should i buy new or just restore...I really dont wanna spend over $100 for new lights.

You just answered your own question...

If he was a REAL BUDDY...he'd help you or do it for you. A few beers or lunch would help too.

Soon as I bought my Tahoe I hit the lights with the 3M kit. Although better, tbe lenses were still cloudy. The plastic itself has deteriorated over 10 years and with DRL's, the extra heat has helped break things down. Now add that there's some weird film/funk on the inside that I couldn't clear away using vinegar or simple green and hot water...

I replaced my headlights today with an aftermarket set that have a 3 year warranty against defects, leakage, etc. Cost was $65 or thereabouts for the pair and they came with bulbs
