Do different models have different 3rd row seats? I bought one and it looks like the mounts are backwards or something... Please let me know what's up.

To my knowledge, Tahoe and Suburban rear most seats are different.

Shortys (Hoes and Yukes) have a split 3rd row (2 independant seats)
Longs (Burbs and XLs) have a one piece 3rd row bench (a freaking sofa)

I have been trying to determine if they are interchangeable as that fuckin big ass sofa is a bitch to get in and out!

I would love to have those itty bitty jobs, it looks to me that the mounting "troughs" are the same, but I have never heard from anyone that has actually tried to swap them out.

So if anyone with a Burb or XL has a friend with a Hoe or Yuke......try and swap that shit out one time please to see if it will work!

I bought a rear seat that i was told would fit my tahoe, but it doesn't because the mounts don't line up... it's the bench seat.. and now i'm out a bit of money, so if you know anyone that wants a suburban seat..

So it looks like you need the split 3rd row seats, there are always several of those on ebay.

I have a split 3rd row seat I bought off Craigslist. However I suspect its from a Suburban as the Grey is darker than mines and the back of the seat is Black. At a friends shop they had a 03 Suburban in and the 3rd row was the same as mine, 3 passenger split seat with Black backing. SO I assume mines is from the same type; as I've never seen a Tahoe with Black carpeting. I rarely see the 3rd row Bench style around here, but I had no issues with the split seat that I got. Mounted up perfect.

what year is your Tahoe and what color interior...I am selling my 3rd row, out of a Yukon...gray leather, split bench.

Just for the record there is NO way the "Shortys (Hoes and Yukes)" will fit in the Longs (Burbs and XLs)...

Spent an hour trying to figure out how...

Do you guys know if there is any other year suburban seats that work besides 99-06???

So I need a grey cloth third row for a burb if anybody has one!!!

Also I would like second row captains chairs!!!
