I and trying to choose a sub for my 2dr Tahoe. I am leaning towards either a JL audio 10w3 or Kicker 12L7. The enclosure will be .90 cube
Thanks

Kicker L7 .88 ft3 (24.92L) Power Handling = 750W RMS
JL audio 10w3 0.625 ft³ power handling==500watts
All internal volume.
I looking to do 1 cube the most because I cant give up any more trunk space and these two subs seem to be the best contenders

You put w3 in your poll... but i'm guessing you meant w7 like it says in your post.

10w7's are the best subwoofer out there IMO.

*FIXED*
I meant W3, not enough room for W7. If I had the space to give up it would be a W7 woofer hands down.

instead of the L7, do the Solobaric Classic, .88 sealed and will yeild way betetr output and SQ than the L7, and have way more cone that the JL.

Thanks for the info. I was looking at the Solobaric classics and heard nothing but good news about them

My very first setup in the Yukon was a JL 12w3 in a sealed, down-firing enclosure with the JL 250/1. VERY CLEAN setup. Very precise kick drums and the basslines are good and tight.
2nd setup was a pair of Cadence Triplex's (a clone of the old Eclipse Titaniums) with the Cadence Amedeus 1000.1 digital amp. (All POS's) Blew both subs after 3 months. Loud while it lasted
3rd setup was the JL 12w6 in a spec ported enclosure with the JL 500/1.. ooo now we're talkin.
ALWAYS had my eye on w7's... NEVER thought I would actually own one. Let alone a pair of them hooked up to the JL 1000/1. Was very lucky on eBay. Very, very, very lucky.
*feels all warm inside*
w3's are good, but the L7's will be louder I think. w3's will be twice as clean though.
