Did you notice any change in ride quality after your drop? It looks great.

Oh yea there was a difference in ride quality. What I ended up doing was cutting the stock bumps stops. That greatly improved the ride.
Now all I need are some comfort shocks.

McGaughy's 2/3 (w/ spindles up front); but the rear (w/ springs + shock relocaters) dropped 4 1/4" , so we backed the front torsions off to sit level. I couldn't be happier w/ the final ride height - love it; because now I see that I wouldn't be happy w/ only a real 2/3" lower.

Fenders? If so - 33 1/4" rear + 32 1/2" front.

Of course, ride would be better. Lower you are thes body roll you get. Here in NY we get pretty windy, on windy days the truck use to jerk, ever since it got LOW LOW, no jerk.

I'll take that 2-3 kit off your hands if you want....
Here is mine. Its not dropped yet but i just put some 22's on it (Ultra wheel' GOLIATH) w/ 305-40-22.
I dont want it tooo low. Like Skid's will do. I also added a complete Platinum edition (Scalade) interior with 5 screens (4 headrests and head unit) and a full set of speakers and 12'' sub totalling bout 2k watts.
Pretty cool to ride in, kids love it!

There is a 2'' difference between front and rear so i am at least going to drop the rear but a 2-3 is really what i aim.
I pull a trailer so i have been told about an air kit?? Looking at what is available..

Ok....So what is being said is your truck should be lower!? Man and i tought it was low enough already. Thats nice.
What is the height of those 24's you runnin btw? I'll compare with my 22's. I'm thinking its going to be a 3-5 for me too.
I checked McG's kits... which one should i get? I suppose one with the spindles, front spring (2'' spindle, 1'' springs) And what for the rear? 5'' springs? I heard of ''Peddlers' springs being the shit, you guys know of that?
I'm still learning my way thru truck parts catalogs so please bear with me lol!!
Also, what/ who's shocks then? (as if i take your comment, Johnny, maybe a full kit is not the best idea)
I'm thinkin, maybe i should get McG's spindles, Peddlers springs and (insert suggestion's) shocks?

Sami still waitin on the pics man! Johnny, nice one you added! Post up some more!
Lets keep this thread alive, i want to see more and i need some motivation to work on mine....

well the kit is the way to go because all you're parts will be cheaper then getting then all separated you just have to get better front shocks

mcgaughys 5 inch springs sit 1.25 inches higher than the djm 5 inch tahoe spring and 1.75 higher than the djm trailblazer 4 inch spring. Trust me on one thing you swap out that rear spring to the DJM tb 4 inch drop spring it will ride a lot better.

So I was thinking earlier that I had been a little harsh on my post and that's not my style and was going to apologize about my rudeness.....
But what was the reasoning behind all of the extra money thrown into making the fenders look smaller with a smaller wheel? It looks like that with everything you've done to the interior that you would have also spent some on bigger wheels and maybe a drop kit?

i did my rear and its real easy ones you unbolt the shocks and end links the axle will drop and you can pull the springs out, and as far as the front you will need the a special tool to help you remove the torsion keys,if you got the tools this is something you can do yourself. save your money and have fun in your garage:)

Any other plans?
Esky roof rack and whiteout the entire mirror!
Not quite sure yet, rack for sure or I'll do none at all.
The chrome accents with the chrome wheels is growing on me now. Might leave those mirrors alone. I'm on the fence I guess.
Match the bowties maybe, big brake kit for sure. We'll see how this goes.

No rack looks good also. I took mine off my white 04 XL. (in my sig)
I think the chrome on the mirrors looks okay with all the other chrome but I think it would look so much better if the rest of the mirror body was white instead of black.
Get someone to photoshop it for you. And with the rack off. They have a few members on here that are real good at PS. I'm not one of them. Lol

I freelance photog so chops are right up my alley. I agree on the housing minus the chrome section. I pulled the rack on my 03 and 05 denalis like the look just undecided. Gotta weather the storm on the outlay to yates for the suspension and wheels. Get my slush fund back together - so I got time.
