W7's behind third row...

I don't see how these 10W7's don't hit the lift gate panel being that:

- mounting depth is 9.63"
- Xmax is .9"
- rear baffle is .5" or .75"

Must be a VERY close fit... :shocked:

only way to tell is to somehow get a measurement with the gate closed and see how much room there actually is for excursion.

Hey Iwaslowr i'm pretty sure thats an ESV Esky. It would be impossible to fit that in a regular one.

mo it would fit depending on who measured and made the box but my box definitly hits my liftgate starting to scratch it to :( need sumtin to blocc it..

I would think they wouldn't sound that great be pressed up against the rear hatch.

you'd want them a good 4-6" away form the rear tailgate. And at least 2" deeper than the woofer on depth behind the woofers motor structure.

if that is the case it could warp the cone on excursion and cause the coil to rub.....which does not sound good, or have a good over all outcome.

what my interior sound is off the charts wit my box size my damn gas pedal side view mirrors and nav screen shakes when i crank my musix up and thats just 2 10's goin off a 1600watt hifonics and my box is ported..

i think mmy 10's would rival your 12's easily there only getting 800watts rms a piece and the max rms is 2000watts io just dont have the funds for the additonal amp and the 1600watt i got now is not cuttn it. my grandmother lives on the 6th floor of her building and when i open the hatch and turn up the volume you can feel her window vibrate. no to mention hera my voice super clear...I LOVE ORION I'm thinkin of having my box rebuild for 3 10's ;) later of course though.
