I just picked up a 2000 Yukon XL SLT 4x4 5.3L with 116k on the clock.
Its got the normal pwr everything, leather heated seats, rear heat and audio controls, factory sub, tow package etc.
The previous owner added a daystar 2" leveling kit with new rear airbags and converted to a ARB compressor, front window tint, aftermarket alarm, 20" wheels with new kuhmo tires, new 150A alternator, odyssey battery, drilled and slotted rotors front and rear, with ceramic pads, weathertech floor liners and a set of angel eye headlights new in box. (to be installed)
First question, is although it runs great, when it sits for 24+ hours it cranks for a good 2-3 seconds before it starts. Any simple things to check for? Possibly a fuel filter, I'm sure it due for one anyways so it will get a new one this weekend. And if that does not help, I have seen a bad fuel pressure regulator cause this, any tips on testing them?
Second I would like to add an aftermarket, possibly a double din deck, is there a way to do this while keeping the stock sub and rear audio controls?
I would like to eventually do an intake, exhaust and possibly a programmer (not sure if its worth it on a 5.3) Any suggestions on the best bang for your buck in the performace/gas mileage area?
And lastly I wanted to add white LED interior lights, and was wondering if anyone knew each bulb sizes or a site that has them?
Thanks and here are a few pics of the new rig!

I have always been a Jeep guy, so I am not use to something this big and comfortable, so it is a big change for me.

I bought my 2001 Silverado 5.3 with 111k on the clock. It had starting issues like yours until I changed the plugs and wires. After that no starting issues. For mods, I did Pacesetter longtubes with the off-road Y pipe (no cats), a wait4meperformance tune and Volant intake, EGR delete, throttle body coolant bypass, and e-fans. It really woke the truck up. All said and done the mods were less than $1k
Oh and someone here is selling double DIN conversions:

Thanks for the info and the link!
I will have to check out the plugs to see what they look like, but after sitting since last night, it started right up for me tonight, so I will have to see if there is a pattern to it.
Also I live in a emission tested area, so i would need to keep my cats, and 02 sensors in place..
I didn't know that the 5.3L has a coolant hose running through the TB (had a 97 WS6 with a LT1 had that as well) so that would be a nice free mod to do right away.
Also another little issue I found out, is the passenger mirror only moves right, up, down and left doesn't seem to even make the noise like it trying to move, any ideas?

Welcome and nice looking rig! First off, if you don't know the maintenance history, I'd go ahead and do a tune up for your peace of mind- plugs, wires(oem recommended), throttle body cleaning, maf sensor cleaning with maf cleaner only(don't touch maf!), fuel filter, fluids, air filter, etc.
Right now you have a 1.5 din. You will need a double din cage and bezel. Like mentioned above, there is one for sale in the classifieds. I'd also recommend an interface module(Pac 1 or similar) to keep door chimes and other stock functions.
Performance mods can definitely be worth it if done right. If you just want an intake, go cheap because most work the same way(airraid or similar). K&N isn't worth the money imo. If you want a true CAI, go Volant or SLP. These are closed system CAI that shield the intake from the engine heat. For 'performance' exhaust, I hear good things about the Corsa Sport, pretty pricey though. As far as programmers go don't do them. Black Bear tune all the way. They are a vendor here on the site and can help you with any questions you may have. Everybody who has gotten a BB tune absolutely loves it and says it's definitely worth the money!
Led interior, start with the first one it 's easy-
gauges (you can find 194's and the bases for super cheap on ebay. Let me know if you need links to them)- http://tahoeyukonforum.com/forum/showthread.php?t=16850
dash controls- http://tahoeyukonforum.com/forum/showthread.php?t=16839
window switches- http://tahoeyukonforum.com/forum/showthread.php?t=16838
domes, maps, etc-
Footwell lights(if you have them) are 194's, door panel lights are 194's also, domes are 42 mm festoon, map lights are also 194's, for vanity light's I used 31 mm festoon, window and lock switches will need 5mm leds soldered in, 2000-2002 gauge cluster will need 194's and 2003-2006 gauges will need leds soldered in. I've noticed cheap ebay smd's for domes, doors, footwells, vanity, map lights, and 2000-2002 gauges work well and last. The round 5mm leds are best from vleds or superbrightleds.
42mm festoon- http://www.ebay.com/itm/6-SMD-5050-4...item2c5f6e5204
194's- http://www.ebay.com/itm/T10-W5W-194-...item4cfb50edd6
31mm festoon- http://www.ebay.com/itm/31mm-SUPER-B...item336d8b613d
These are just the ones I used and are only suggestions. There are so many other options out there.
Good luck. Let us know if you have any more questions.

Thanks for the info!!
The PO was the manager at my local 4WP and took great care of it, but I still have a few maintenance things I will be doing, hopefully tomorrow!
I also be ordering the LEDs but in my Jeep its just 3 domes light so it was simple to check sizes haha, now I got a few different style/size domes, footwells, door lights to start.
