THE WORK ABSOLUTLY FUCKIN SUCKS THE BIGGIESTN HAIRIEST BALLS!

I didn't really over look it till I took her home and decided to bathe her since she was covered in dust!

1) The BONDO was not shaved smooth as all!
2)Over spray I guess...like you can tell theres two layers not one.
3) THEY DROPPED MY TAILLIGHT! Its FUCKIN SCUFFED and corner is chipped!

Now he's done work for me in the past AND IT CAME OUT GREAT AND ON TIME (actually early) and at a great price!

NOW AS IN NOW TODAY! The Escahoe was 4 Days late. He promised me Sat! I called him and he has no Clue and tells me to come tomorrow!

This is obviously not a reputable shop. Do they offer a warranty? He should have given you a itemized final bill of what was done. Did it go through insurance? Now if this is one of those deals where you were paid from an insurance company to do it and then had it done at some hack shop I would be pissed at you because you are taking work away from reputable shops that do the work correctly and then complaining about it. But on the other hand, if you are taking the truck to the shop and the insurance is paying for the job( i'm assuming this because I think you said you were rear-ended?)and the shop does crappy work then have them re-do it. They might want to actually take the time to do some metal work and not fill the dents with major bondo. If they cant do it then they are not capable of doing quality work. REPUTABLE SHOPS GIVE ESTIMATES IN WRITING, GIVE A LIFETIME WARRANTY ON REPAIRS AND GIVE YOU AN ITEMIZED FINAL BILL WHEN REPAIRS ARE COMPLETE.

I see a crack in the LT taillamp in your first photo in the same location it broke off. Shop should have pointed it out to you.

Well She's down and out (past week and a half) due to Heads from the machine shop taking forever! But she will be back on the road hopefully by the end of the week. Rebuilt Heads (3 Angle Valve Job, Shimmed Springs, and Stock Retainers), MSD 6 Al Box and E3 Plugs. Then week after that she goes back to the autobody shop to Get the DENTS out of the Roll Pan Fixed and GoodMark Steel Cowl hood installed.

I'll be the first to admit I have a short temper and would love nothing more than to f**k up my neighbors car everytime he parks in my spot...but I do not because what goes around comes around. SHE'S ALIVE!

I do have pics of tearing her down. But really none of putting back together. The shop closed at 6. We started working on her around 5:30 and had her running by 9. Tomorrow have to fill her up with antifreeze, clear the codes and let her run for a bit. May have to adjust the Distributor a bit. Then install the MSD ignition. The reaon why We didn't do it right off the bat is god forbid it doesn't run right we wouldn't have to worry if it was the MSD Ignition System. Did a compression and 3 cranks she was right up to 180 and holding! Can't wait to have her back for a lil before I send her to the bodyshop to get the dent fixed in my roll pan and goodmark steel cowl hood painted and installed!

BB Tune in August can't come any sooner!

But I will post pics when its all said and done hopefully tomorrow. She needs a good cleaning from sitten in the shop for 2 n half weeks collecting dust.

Well I bought 2 sets of heads.

One was from a TX and they were milled for $555 shipped to my door. I got them in NOV. and I never opened the box till it was time to do the Heads.
The heads were the biggest POS! They were cracked and welded. The welds were shitty and I recall correctly there were 5-6 valves that were sleeved. The Mill Job was horrendous! Just the quality was so damm poor! I call the guy (he owns Langston Machine Shop and Exhuast in Texas) and he told me to install them. Said no way and he hung up. I called my CC Company American Express and I filed a dispute. Actually today I have to send AA a letter from the machine shop that did my new heads why the one's sent to me were no good and pics as well. The reason I went this route is b/c I wanted no down time, as soon as I graduated from college I wanted to rip her apart and fix her. I don't like CEL's they scare me. If the CEL is on for one thing...you may never know its on for another and it could be big problems. You know how many cars I've seen at the shop we say you need an 02 sensor or something else and the customer comes back a few months later for inspection. They say O do the 02 sensor thats bad so I can pass meanwhile its the 02 sensor and a few other things. People freak...I remember one customer just needed an 02 Sensor and neglected it for over a year. She got into a accident where she was side swiped and the person fled the scene. Well the cop was kind enough to tell here that the whole accident would have been voided b.c he car was uninspected. She flew to shop and told us to change the 02 Sensor, we pulled codes she had so much shit...02 sensors, knock sensors...a few other things...came out to $1,200 She was not happy but her Maxima with almost 200,000 miles runs like a champ.

2nd set cost me $280. WHich was my old heads (uncracked...Thank God b/c its common for our heads to crack in certain area). That was for a 3 Angle Valve Job, New Springs (Shimmed), and Heavier Set of Retainers (Incase If I decide to Cam it but I doubt it. Just did it incase one I want too). The 3 Angle and Shimmed Springs bump up the compression too. :)

Gasket set was $80 and 2 bolt sets were $50.

I had a misfire in #5 Cyl. and it was causing #3 and #7 to misfire, only at idle. As soon I would give it gas in normal driving the misfire would go away. But as soon as it would idle the misfire would shake the whole truck. ALOT OF PEOPLE THOUGHT THAT I CAMMED IT. Thats how choppy the exhuast was at idle. Every 16 yr. old wanted to race me at night. Plus my inspection expired at the end of May so it needed to be done anyway.

Of course I helped...thats why it took so long! Lol.
This was beyond my Mechanical Knowledge so I all I did was help tear here down, do cleaning (engine bay, pistons, LIM, UIM, and a ton of fuckin bolts on the wiz wheel which has some of my skin on it). As for as putting her back together just helping them bolts down the heads (some places it was hard to see where to stop turning so they were bolted to spec and holding the Degree tool to make sure it doesn't shift while bolting it down to spec) handing tools, parts, helping them remember were some stuff went. I do have a bracket left over. I'll post pics of it...maybe you guys can locate it for me.

P.S. this was the reason why I got the truck so cheap for. $3k with 97k on it, thats fully loaded with leather n heated seats that was this past August. Why the misfire, the truck needed a tune-up due to a misfire in the first place. The owner neglected to do it due to financial reasons, when they had the funds for a tune-up, they had it done and it still misfired. The valves were leaking air aka they fully weren't closing. We did this by sending air thru the Cylinders with a glove over the TB and bam the glove blew up. We re-confirmed it by putting water in the chambers of the head and 3-4 of them leaked!

PICS WILL BE POSTED OF BUILD! Dying to see the difference in MSD Ignition mated with e3's in Start-UP and MPG. SHE NEEDS TO BE CLEANED BADLY dust! From sitten inside the shop! YUCK!

Black bear Tune. PM Jenna here as she is co-owner and operator along with her husband Justin. THE BEST THING you do fro your Hoe even if its stock to modded! Cuz if you MOD it you can send out your PCM to get re-tuned for FREE EVERYTIME! I do suggest going to a LIVE tuning session for maxium accuracy! Thats what I'm doing! Forget Hypertach, Predator, any other tuning device, and aftermaket Chip. THIS IS the ULTIMATE WAY to smoothin your ride, and make all the MODS you do really perform.

Why I choose BB...B/c Justin and Jenna are both active on the boards. Very contributing to questions asked, even outside of tuning. I want to run E-Fans in my OBS, BB is the company that I know that sells a kit so the E-fans are wired into our PCM's so they function like stock fans. No need to worry about forgetting to turn them ON or Off. I've read to many horror stories of forgetting to turn them on and the keys are locked inside. After the owner finally realizes he has to break the window to get...he does...its to late the motor overheated! PLUS NUMEROUS PEOPLE VOUCH FOR THEM! Their QUALITY of work and QUANTITY of outstanding reviews is un-matched.

WHOOP SHE'S HOME IN DRIVEWAY WHERE SHE BELONGS! On her maiden voyage home she threw a CEL, we thought b/c possible he distributor was installed wrong. Either way she passed inspection before that. I took her back to the shop and pulled the Code its for an 02 Sensor. Then on 2nd attempt back home the rear started to grind...I need rear brake shoes. So I'll tackle those two on Monday and install my MSD!

Next is Body shop for dent and cowl hood unless Its true that their LT and ORY Kit for OBS like someone posted!

Yup...Heads work perfect...3rd gear got alot quicker. I haven't gunned it from the get go yet...still wanna be easy on her. Get everything all lubed up and brioken in. Don;t forget my engine has 104k on it.

E3's worked instantly. She fires up right away. Insead of turning the key and hearing rev sound and start. Now its turn key and BOOM. I didn't even install the MSD yet.

Look likes Cowl Hood and Dent in the roll pan next.

I threw a CEL, we thought it could be possibley the distributor due to a few things that made the installation of it sketchy when installing the heads.

But last night, I just had this funny feeling about it and I was quite aggrevated and anxious to see wtf is wrong after I spent all this time and $$$ to get rid of this fukin thing and some. SO I call up my buddy and pull codes. Ended up being an 02 sensor. Ahh Ok... thats cool I guess. So then I leave my buddies house and I hit the brakes and I hear grinding : (.

I thought it was coming from the rear. I kinda suspected it since when I first got the Hoe I knew the rears were almost done and fronts had alot of meat left on it. I call him up and I ask if its ok that I wait till Monday and bring it to the shop and fix. He says fine...either way now you need Drums and Shoes. Now its like fuck...I was asking for it. At the time (Caddy Front End Conversion, rims, drop, exhuast or Rear drums and shoes).

So I wake up early before work and head to the shop. Cuz I'm not a big fan of grinding. We ordered the Drums and Shoes and they came LATE! I was unable to get them therefor not install them before I had work at 10am! So I get a call around 3ish that the Hoe's up on the lift and there about to take the wheels off.

1) My left rear axel seal is leaking (need a new one)
2) The grinding sound was coming from my right FRONT caliper. Rotor as scared (duh) and The caliper was frozen. (He was able to unfreeze the four pins but suggested that I get new one's.
3) My rear shoes have life left in it...but not that much.

Let the rant begin! COCK SUCKIN MOTHER FUKIN AUTOMECHANIC GOD! THIS PAST MONTH HAS BEEN FUKING HELL! I thought things were getting better (good deal on cowl hood, msd ignition and built heads) then you go back to FUCKING ME AFTER that!

So anyway...

For piece of mind I'm just going to order two new front calipers, regular rotors and pads. Truck stopped fine before that. No need to go C.D. & S Rotors on 15's (shhhh) and meaty tires. But I am going to upgrade to stainless steel brakelines. My rims cover the rotor too soo there goes the show aspect of it as well as appeal of it.

recharge/fix my A/C. When I got the truck the A/C never worked. I don't use A/C at all. But sometimes it is needed now that we all travel together in the Hoe as a family since it fits us all well. I don't know if it needs a recharge or there is a leak and that needs to be fixed! That will be taken care on Monday as well. And backseat lovin.

AND MY FUKIN ABS LIGHT IS STILL ON! SAME CODE FOR THE TURN SIGNAL SWITCHED THAT I REPLACED LESS THEN A YEAR AGO. Due to not all my brake lights (third), and random turn signals. Now it all works fine but the code still shows up. ANY REASON WHY?

Bahhh looking foward to blowing this weeks paycheck on body work n boobies!

Still need to get my rear roll pan fixed from the 2nd hit and run and LED light replaced from the hit and run. As well as my Goodmark Hood painted.

Now its just gonna sit in the box and call my name for the next 2-3 weeks! :(

Just installed MSD Ignition today after a few days letting the heads break in as well working out all bugs motor wise.

Plug and Play harness made the installtion a snap!

Start-Up is still the same...I'm a take her out on a long drive tonight and see whats up.

But last night out had to give her a gas few times and SHE IS PERKY. My Buddy was like WTF did you do to this thing? Def don't remember this thing moving that fast!

I was merging onto a local highway and the asshole didn't brake now accelerate to let me in. SO I couldnt brake it (due to unfrozen caliper that needs replacement). So I floored it.

Hey, I have stainless lines up front, and they're sweet. Not sure if they're those particular ones, but there isn't a huge difference between lines. Easy to do, too. Oh, and never trust the fuel gauge. The way a fuel gauge works, is the float has a piece of foam on one side, and an electrical contact on the other, with a hinge close to the contact side. The contact side rubs against a spiral of wire, and the higher the float, the more (or less, i can't remember the current flow off the top of my head) resitance the wire has. The wire sends current to the gauge, which is typically a bimetallic strip/coil, meaning when it gets hot, is bends because of the different heat expansion properties between the two metals.

Ok. All of that for the real point: as your tank empties, the float travels less and less (starts at 3 o'clock (full), ends at 6 o'clock (empty)), meaning your fuel gauge will read differently between the top half of the tank, and the bottom half of the tank. Also, since (most, though I'm not certain about ours) fuel gauges read because of temperature, your fuel gauge will read more full/empty on warmer/colder days. So the only sure way to do it is to fill your tank, go for a good drive, and then refill your tank, and divide the miles by how many gallons you used (miles/gallons). End rant. Sorry for the spam. :)

u went 74 miles on almost a quarter tank? from full to 3/4 tank i can go about 125miles, 3/4 to 1/2 im at about 210 then from 1/2 to 1/4 im about 300, then 1/4 to E (ive never ran her dry) but about 350-360
thats city drivn, if i use a full tank on freeway drivn i can get about 415 miles,

My MSD 6-AL Box with P&P harness came out to $110 shipped. I got it used with about 10k of usuage on it.

The MSD 6-AL is overkill due to the fact you can hook it up to a laptop and tune rev limits and shit like that.

But for the price I couldn't beat it!

I also have E3 Diamond Fire plugs if that means anything to you. As soon as I turn the key this thing starts (before the MSD Box was installed).

I said something to my buddies at the shop since Spark Plugs were $50 bucks lol. They said the reason why it starts right up now is b.c. no valves are leaking and I have 180 Across the board.

But either way this thing moves when it needs too, but so far i'm happy with the results...it can only go up from there.

If you do get the MSD Box I HIGHLY RECOMMEND THE P&P Harness Installtion was 5 mins b/c I didn't know where to Mount it. If you didn't get the Harness you would have to cut and splice wires. Make a sloppy install PLUS just makes unbolting it for re-sale a snap!

Ok, There were atleast 7-8 guides in both heads. They are put in to a)cover up a crack and weld inside port b) cover up any socring and make it smooth again c) to make sure there is a seal and no leaks

Who would want to buy shit like that? Also some of the guides with valves closed surpassed its port : (

While thats all getting done it was TIME TO UPGRADE!

Those shitty heads cost me $550 shipped to my door.

A new machine shop just opened up and they had sick prices!

$350 I got my heads rebuilt (NO CRACKS) with a 3 Angle Valve Job and Shimmed Springs to bump up the compression!

While I was at it MSD 6AL Ignition box with Plug and Play harness from MSD
Harness made it a snap! Now wiring, cutting sodering or splicing!
I got this used for $110 shipped including the PnP Harness. Used for less then 5k.

I thinking about getting the hood INVISILIN it? Basically a clear layer over the part.

Also started puttin her rear back together b/c I NEED BASS and now only one of my subs work :( My friend offered me to Kicker Solo X's but I'm not sure yet.

Possible to get a sub rebuilt its a JL?

Solo X's wpuld be tits...memeber when he had them installed made my balls shake and ear drums bump.

Getting those...would mean goodbye trunk space (to build the correct box for them). Another battery or two and NEW amps...
