For iPod control GM finally released the PAL for the Tahoes this year. GMPartsDirect lists it as available for the 2009.

Wondering if anyone has tried it yet. Reading other reviews on it (for other GM vehicles) people say it works well but to select the iPod you have to scroll through the bands twice. FM-AM-XM-FM-AM-iPod. And also you'd need a Tech2 reprogram to allow the XM to work with the PAL installed. So I'm wondering if this is true for the Tahoe/Yukon and if you could program the iPod into a favorite.

Otherwise I'll probably just get the USASpec adapter as it's proven and XM still works w/o a reprogram and X99 becomes the iPod channel.

I have the navigation radio and I don't think PAL works with it so I went with this:

Works OK, easy to install (just open the glove box and plug in).

Is that pretty similar to the factory link but do you need to do all that dip-switch setting stuff with the factory interface?
