how do you remove rear vent cap appliques?

anyone know how to remove the rear vent cap appliques off a 2001 tahoe? I understand there is a screw and three clips holding it on. but how do you get the clips undone. any help is appreciated. thanks

They are more "tabs" than "clips." As I recall (I have an '09 now, but had an '02), there's the bolt to remove, and then it's really a matter of pulling out toward you. The tabs are thin and more or less "wedge" the vent into place while the bolt is what holds it there.
