Installed new computer in my 98.

After all the talk on the old site about the sender for the variable assist steering, I had something interesting happen to me with my truck.
I had to swap the computer to clear up a transmission issue. On the ride home from the dealer, I realized my steering was perfect. SO... I guess if you swap that sender under the dash and it still doesn't solve the problem, the computer could be next in line.

Just out of curiosity, what was the tranny issue that the computer cleared up?

With no other issue, the line pressure would drop off in 3-4 and I'd end up losing 3 and 4.

Changing the computer finally solved it.
