I don't like the sound of my blinker and want to silence it. Has anyone tried this? The warning that sounds when the blinker is left on for too long doesn't bother me... I just want it silent when I first turn it on.

Iwas -- If you do a Google search for something along the lines of "Tahoe chime volume," you'll find some modules that allow you to control the volume of the seat belt chime, blinker chime, etc.

The reason that I've done this search myself is because my chimes became ear-splitting loud when I had an amp and speakers (kept the nav) installed in my truck. What we discovered was that the amp amplifies all of the chimes, since the chimes are all run through the speakers. I had to turn down the gain on my EQ in order to get the chimes down to a normal level. That turns down the overall amp level, but the sound still seems clean when the radio volume is increased.

Seems to me also that the chime control is just one aspect of the controller whose function is much more than just chime control -- but I don't recall what else it did.

Do a search, and let me know what you come up with. I'd like to add this controller and get my amp gain back.

Found this one, "...And you can adjust volume settings for OnStar as well as the safety chimes. ...[but]will not work with Bose systems..." on The Crutchfield website.

If this adapter doesn't work for you, how about adding an attenuation device, such as a resistor or potentiometer, to the chime signal wire between the module and amplifier/signal converter? Perhaps others with more electrical knowledge can "chime" in? No pun intended LOL

ok not sure if you have an amp or not but on my amp i have a switch that controls the... i guess you can say direction of the sound my speakers put out. the switch has 3 modes label "2,3,4" i notice that every time i use the switch the main volume changes like "2" moves the sound up front, "3" moves the sound to the bac, "4" splits it even. now on 3 even though the sound if out bac i still get good volume up front but my blinkers liftgate chime and some other sounds i noticed dont work i have to split it to "2" or "4" to get the blinkers sounds n stuff to work. if you do have an amp try and look for a toggle switch turn your hazards on and move the switch till the cliccing stops. if you do not have an amp i don't kno what to tell you...

Did you go to your DIC or whatever it is and adjust the chime volume to "Low"? Depending on your amp I don't know if it'll help but just thought I'd let you know. :)
