trans. pan

How can I tell if I have a deep trans. pan? I ask cause I want to change the fluid and filter and there are 2 types of filters...shallow pan and deep pan. the truck is a 2000 yukon XL 1500 4x4.....Thanks

If i remember correctly the shallow pan is flat across the bottom and the deep one steps down about half way across.
