Ok well i just bought some ACDelco wires, cap, rotor, pvc valve.
now my question is what plugs? Do i go with the acdelco or the e3s?
Also what other things should be done while doing the tune up?
it already has a new air filter and oil filter...

I'd be curious on the E3's as well....they may add more slight power, but ACDelco's can last a long time.

acdelco's are better known.. and the e3's are suppost to do all this good stuff but i think im gonna stick with the acdelco's...

its been said by several people the delco's are the best for these engines. thats whats in mine. but the E3's aren't bad, though not in my hoe, they work amazingly in the mower. haha.

E3's worked tits in my truck. Crank start up was instantaneous! I can't vouch for power though b/c I installed the e3 when installed my worked heads.
e3 come with 5 yr warranty. Can;t beat that.
A/C delco is GM recommended. So you can buy top dollar or generic ac delco plugs.
While doing your tune...don;t forget your fuel filter and do we have a caabin air filter lol?
Also check your hoses and belts for cracks!
P.S.
Have fun changing the last two plugs on each side!

Both AC Delcos or E3s will work great.
Fuel filter
Fluids check
Grease chassi
Belt and hoses
LoL cabin filters weren't put in until 2002 IIRC

BTW, when you put in the new plugs, put some anti-seize on the threads.

NGK seem to work too, haven't personally ran them but have seen others who have.

STAY AWAY FROM NGK
AC Delco is OEM
e3's are upgraded. I use e3's there fine. I recommend them. I don;t know why some members had problems with them. Maybe they dropped them and closed gap? I dunno.
My truck fired right up with them in it...compared to the trun key...starts turns for a lil and then catches. (My starter just has a lil over 11k on it). When I did the e3's it started right up as soon as I turn the key in the ignition.

for the record, NGK is making AC Delco plugs now,
i prefer the stock delcos personally, stick with what works.

I'm getting ready to do a tune up on my yukon. I'm planning on ngk tr55 plugs and delco wires. Rock Auto sells model#718q wires for $107 and #9718q for $64, is there a difference? Also, does the brand of rotor, cap, pcv valve, etc. make much difference, should I stick with Delco or are cheaper brands fine? Thanks for any help

I would stick with AC Delco but that is just me.

Well I'm running NGK platinum plugs in my kon now, its been running NGK copper for about (well it looks like they haven't been changed in about 250,000km (about 150,000miles) before problems occurred). I dunno I've always trusted NGK.
And the last two aren't as bad as everyone makes it out, I actually had more trouble with one in the middle lol.

The delcos worked great in the truck but then again when I changed them everything looked like it was factory so I guess anything would have made it run better.

I have the E3's in my Burban and my Yukon and I swear by em!! I just did the plugs, wires and full accel cap, rotor, coil, and wires. Good increase in throttle response, and the engine revs faster now and easier starts, but dont know about gas mileage yet!
