I am looking for suggestions on some mods on my 04 Yukon. I really like the "murdered out" look and since my ride is black I was hoping to strip most of the chrome. The only thing I have done to it is get matching tint on the windows. I was thinking about a front body kit to lose the chrome bumper and also replacing the grill. I am also in need of new tires and was wanting to go bigger. I really like the Dueler Revos and might upgrade to 17" rims. Thoughts?

Thanks

Smooth out

1. Debadge the doors, tailgate and remove the side moldings and roof rack! Extremely cheap and easy to get you going!

2. Clear turnsignal and LED tails

3. Stack your cash and get 20inch or bigger black wheels (ie. KMC Slides)

4. Drop it, 2/3 lowering kit or I would recomend a 3/5 kit, look at christoso's or jk's trucks for an idea of a 3/5 drop

5. SS front bumper, rollpan, smooth or escalade rear vent caps, and when you go to the paint shop have them color match your grill clip and GMC logo black, and tint your tails. and your set

Completely Murdered Out!!!!

Thanks for all the suggestions. Couple more questions. Where can I find the SS bumper and the escalade vent caps? If I put 20+" tires do I need to mess with brakes/rotors?

Thanks for the info

[/COLOR]Oh yeah, welcome to the forum. ;)

Thanks!

I have been reading some of the howto threads on debadging and removing the side molding. I need to get a few supplies before I go there. I will post up some progress as I got.

If I do go say 22" rims what sort of brakes/rotors should I slam on it?

Thanks

Smooth out

One more question from a noob.. Can I do a 2/3 drop with stock rims and tires?

I appreciate everyone's help just trying to get an idea of what to do first so I can spread out the cash. Was thinking doing the 2/3 drop as well as the debadging first.

Thanks again

If you want the get rid of the chrome bumper I would suggest going with a Nali front and grill shell painted to match.

Switching over to a nali front end is too much, you have to change the lights, shell, bumper, fog lights etc., I'd rather put that money into rims. You can take the bumper to a painter and I'm sure they can remove the chrome and paint it, or buy a paintable one. LMCtruck.com sells alot of stuff. But the Nali rear bumper is pretty much just bolting it up.

The denali conversion will be expensive. I still say go with the SS front bumper, smooth vent caps and a rollpan for the rear!

Here are the part #'s for the ss bumper
12335766 - duct
12335767 - duct
12335659 - fascia (bumper cover)
12335765 - grille (in bumper)

Get the parts and when you drop the truck off to get them painted and installed have the grill and the GMC logo colormatched!

If you want to keep the stock rear bumper but you want it color matched do this.......
