Transmission

While sitting at a stop light this morning I went to take off and nothing. engine reved to about 2000(as if it was in neutral) then it slipped into gear. Pretty much like doing a neutral drop. Its a 04 yukon with 88k on it. This isnt the first time its done it, has done it twice before about 6000 miles ago had trans flushed and it quit for awhile. I'm new to the chevy world please tell me I dont need a trans I have only had this thing for 9 months and only put 8000 easy miles on it.

mine has done something like this once or twice but it has lasted 165k so unless it starts happening more often i wouldnt be worried but im sure there is someone on the forum more fitting to answer this than me

Mine does the same every so often. I dont worry too much but if it is bad or more often I would worry.
