My 6.0 makes more power than yours, it'll probably end up with the same transmission too

Keep the exhaust gas from recirculating into the intake, had to do it for the longtubes but it's more crap to deal with on these trucks so I just pulled the system and had Justin turn it off at the pcm.

My dad has a 1999 2500 4x4 Suburban. It is loaded with every option (except heated seats) and a 454 Vortec, 4L80e, 4.10 gears, locker, basically set up to tow. It's not a NBS, but still a 2500.

thats pretty sick Max, what did that run?

Max

I don't remember, usually 4500-6000 lift wheels tires etc.

jmildoc

yeah that is a lot of money, I wouldnt want to lift mine that much anyway, I think I may just switch to some bigger tires. what do you think about those shocks with the coils built in? are they worth it?

Max

Terrible idea. The idea behind a shock absorber is to dampen the suspension, not to control the suspension. Nobody ever said 8" with 37s was cheap.

so what are some good replacement shocks? I put monroe sensatrac on my car but they were the whole coil assembly with spring and all, I just need shocks on the truck

Jmildoc you can fit 37 with just keys bc they alreay have a bd lift on them just get some Sus.Maxx Keys and some 0-3inch shocks and you should be good to go.

i have rear leaf springs. I am wanting to lift it some just dont really know the route i want to go. I was thinking a 2-3" body lift........ I want the easiest safest lift possible

Max

Easiest way to lift that thing is 1500 torsion keys up front and some 2" blocks or a pair of add-a-leaves out back. Shock part #s are:
front:
F4-BE5-D146-H0
rear:
F4-BE5-D147-H0

The truck will ride 10x better and should clear 35s with the proper wheel offset. Look around for some H2 wheels/tires, your GMC center caps will work on them and they're the perfect width/offset for clearing a big tire on these trucks. I had a set on my brother's 03 dmax and my neighbor is running the exact same setup, looks great and won't cost you much more than $450-$500 plus an alignment if you do the keys/blocks yourself. What keys do you have now? You should clear 315s no problem with just the keyways.

WOW Thanks MAX!!! They are stock keys, I just twisted them up and got an alignment..... SO i get keys for a 1500 pick up? and 2 inch blocks!! What tires could I run without getting different wheels??

I had 305/70/16 bfgs in that pic but keep an eye out for the H2 wheels on craigslist. I found a set of 5 wheels and tires in good shape for my neighbor, customer lifted his wife's truck and I scooped them for $250 or something ridiculous...spare was brand fucking new too.
