wideband and boost gauges?

looking for some gauges for me truck to start getting this project whipple under way. Anyone have any good brand names to go off of/model numbers?

On a wideband, whats a steady number to stay around? Ive never seen one in action so idk what to anticipate on this thing. Are the numbered gauges better or the colored coded ones like red and green lights???? thanks!

I'm using an AEM uego wideband afr gauge (http://www.aempower.com/ViewCategory.aspx?CategoryID=344) and Autometer 3303 boost gauge (http://www.autometer.com/cat_gaugedetail.aspx?gid=2843&sid=15).
Your afr is important. Cruising should be around 14-15. WOT should run a bit richer, between 10-12. You want to make sure the motor doesn't run lean under throttle, especially under boost conditions.

I was reading on the Aeroforce Interceptor and I saw it listed HP as something it's capable of monitoring. HP!? huh? LOL

I have tried several different wide band's and settled on the Innovate XD16.

When you start using forced induction, it is no time to cut corners on the AFR gauge.

Here is the link, check it out. The xd 16 has one great feature in that it can calibrate itself. I have two of them, one on each side. I also use it to control the ECM for closed loop.

The magic number for gas is 14.7 : 1.

Ive used the aem uego on several cars and it did just fine, and yes, crusing you want to shoot for 14.7 afr.

So you are using the LC1 then since the XD16 is just a gauge?? I assume that is what is calibrating itself rather than the gauge? I believe the PLX does the same. Justin has the LC1 as well, and likes it.

It is true that the LC1 is part of the deal, but the gauge does have a ton of features in itself. like programming what color each LED will be around the dial. I also like having the actual number displayed all the time.

It LC1 is the in line package that interprets the signal from the 02 sensor. The other thing I like about the system is the 02 sensors are a VW stock item.

The LC1 has several different outputs. Analog as well as digital. In my case, I use one of the extra analog outputs to run the ECM with the wideband.

I have found several Dyno shops use the Innovate products for tail pipe sniffing. They seem to be very accurate. :)

Yep, Innovate definitely makes good products, it is what we are running in the SSS with the DB gauge. I am running the PLX DM-100 which sounds like is pretty much the gauge you are describing, I can access a decent amount of information with it, especially alongside the Interceptor. I am pretty sure that is what we will be running in the TBSS once the TVS goes on, we were pleasantly surprised with the amount of settings.

Thanks, she was a pretty penny, but itll be worth it i hope : / I really never expected these widebands to be so damn much! lol i was thinking 100 or soo.. nope! ooh well.

Anyone hear of Faze/sunpro gauges? Im not trying to go cheap, but on a couple gauges i love the color.. thats one thing that has to be with the gauges, same color across the dash..
