As you know I cannot stand GMFS any longer, and have since relinquished my supporting member status for some time.

Since I began coming to TYF, I've grown to like the people here AND the way things are ran, immensely different than the folks at GMFS.

So, I was about to contribute to the site. About to. What's with the only option being $25? Back in the olden days, you could donate anywhere from $1 to $1M dollars, and you got perks based on your donation level. Now there is only one base level option at that's $25 or more.

I think your site would have a ton more contributing members if the fee's were a tad more reasonable for a one year fee. I know I'd be more inclined to contribute if there was more of an incentive. You used to give out some pretty good ones on GMFS.

Oh, and keep the mods/staff how they are, no "holy" ones, if u know what I mean. :)

I agree - there is something about this forum that is a bit more pleasant than others.

I've belong(ed) to stereo, mustang, GM etc other forums and there is ALWAYS some form of bashing and guys being a$$holes to other folks...most ppl are pretty reasonable and very helpful, but there are too many inappropriate d-bags on some of the other forums.

Here, it's completely different...if some guy gets out-of-line, the seasoned guys are always there to step in a shut down a negative attitude.

I'd like to contribute to - great group of folks on this forum!

I'm the voice of many others who can't do $25.00. On GMFS, you drop $20 and get $10 back towards a magazine script or something along those lines. Was a good incentive to have a perk or two in there.

Bryan owns this site to produce money, not for his health. More affordable options equals more money. :)

That is really why I chose to become a part of this forum. If you have been on them for any amount of time at all, joining a new forum and looking around a bit, it doesn't take long to figure out if it is a good group or if it is nothing more than a bunch of, forgive my language, ARSBAGS arguing about who knows more than who and that kind of BS. That mess gets old, and those dipsticks never do get the fact that there is ALWAYS someone who knows more and even someone who may not happen to be a World Class Technician for GM can actually be of use helping folks.....

I was thinking maybe keep the vendor colors and tags but also keep the supporter back ground image behind the username. But then again, to make those changes shaggy would have to play with applying settings for the usergroup for my account only and that may be a pain.
