tips to adjusting front bumper

This is how my bumper looked earlier today. The driver side is quite noticeably sagging and I just could not stand leaving it that way.

So I started the tear down. First pop out the plastic pins on top of the grill and then pull the grill forward (it just pops out, no unscrewing)

Grill snapped out.

To take off the bumper, there are six bolts you must remove. I have vaguely circled their location in red.

Make sure you have unhooked anything on the bumper such as fog lights and
slide the bumper off. I strongly advise you place something on the ground in order not to scratch your bumper (I used towels).

I have circled four brackets on the back of the bumper. The two red ones were on the leaning side and need adjusting while the green brackets were in the correct position.

To access the bolts, I took the upper and lower valences off (I will call them valences for now in lack of remembering the correct name) For the upper valance, I used a wrench to squeeze each clip and push them out of the bumper. For the lower valance, I removed the fog lights (2 bolts each) and then unbolted and unclipped it from the bumper.

You should end up with this.

After loosening the bolts on the bad side, I placed the bumper back onto my truck. I leveled the bad side with the good side, and tightened the hell out of the bad side. After measuring and remeasuring, I was able to even out the bumper.

After making sure the bumper was just how I wanted it, I pieced everything back, bolted the bumper back on to my liking, and took a picture of the turn out. (it's kind of hard to tell from the bad picture but everything measured up.)

I was still lazy. I came up with the great idea of using washers to raise the bumper instead of cutting a steel spacer. I got it all back together and the one side was too low so I just had to undo one bolt and stick a couple more shims in :head: I am reconsidering buying an HD hood again.

^^^That's exactly what I did. It wasn't perfect when I bought it so I used body washers to get my bumper lined up evenly.
