Probably be good to compile anything we know in a single thread. Or even ask away.
Anyone know of a good brake fix/upgrade on the cheap?
Found brake drums on ebay for $65 are they worth it?

Eh, I'd rather buy drums new, from somewhere I can take them back. That's just me though. Upgrade price totally depends on your willingness to wrench on your rig yourself. Having the dealership replace a bad headlight can cost you $100 when if you'd gone to Schuck's, it would be 5 minutes, and $3. My list of cheap upgrades <$100:
-Stainless brake lines
-Shocks ($50/per, do them in pairs?)
-Debadge
-Cold Air Intake
-Spark Plug Wires
-Spark Plugs
-Side Steps ($50 per?)

better brake pads for the front. SS lines are good. Are you after all modes or just brakes?

What is a vette servo and what does it do? Is it tough to install?

do a search and theres plenty of write ups. mine should be coming soon and i can tell you how difficult it is from experience. it basically firms up the 1-2 shifts (and i've heard mixed of it helping the 2-3 shifts). prolongs tranny life and performance.
for 20 bucks, i figure you cant go wrong. lol

I would only go with that low of a thermostat if you get a tune for it.

Yeah the drums i was probably gonna skip.
In the home stretch of a tune up. just have to get a tranny flush.
Used A/C delco platinum plugs. $50
Delco wanted too much for wires so i resorted to MSD wires For $110 after tax.
I have shocks just have to put them on (that and idler and pittman arm). Hard to do?
Brakes are what I'm researching right now the backs squeak and the pedal is "mushy" at times. I'm thinking cheap shoes and worn out drums.
Oh... Wangner thermo Quiets $50

if it shifts at five your missing a few revs. Silverado does not shift until like 6200.

I can set it higher, but I have 10yr old truck. with 105 on the clock with the 60e :deal:
I can even set my revs with MSD Box too.

thanks to bb tune mine does. I just guesstimating since the tach stops at 6 and it takes about 1.5 seconds after it hits 6k to shift.

your truck must not pull at ALL top end if it takes 1.5 seconds to go up 200 rpms.

lol IDk. I have to watch it. All I know is it sits with the neddle pegged at 6000 revs before it shifts. I just need to get a seperate tac.
