Have not thought of one like that. I was actually thinking of trying to find a swing style rear tire carrier for mine.

like i said earlier if you look at the pictue it has hinges on it all you do is disconnect the top pins and the tire carrier drops down to the ground and you rear tailgate/hatch are still fully functional..

you can probably rig one up off of a zr2 blazer...

thought about that but no way in hell could that thing hold a 35 i mean it could probably hold it but i dont want to movin around hittin my truck and makin all kinds of noise when i drive...just dont think it would hold strong in the long run

it'll be fine. that wheel that's on it in the pic is a 31.5 and it didn't move at all.

yeah i dunno i have my doubts i have been in quite a few zr2 blazers and most of them you can hear the rear tire carrier squeakin and movin around plus i kind of like the more beastly look of the other one but i dunno i guess ill keep lookin around.

the other one does look beastly, but i've honestly never had any problems with my zr2. i've never heard anything come from it.

building a tube rear bumper/tire carrier would look sweet

Build or buy buy a roof rack and strap it on there on top of the roof. That would look awesome.

Cool. If you do end up doing the SAS, let me know how you do it. I wouldn't mind doing that in the future when funds are better. That and a lift and a more powerful engine. After I graduate from college though.

96procomp's post is probably exactly what youre looking for, otherwise I was gonna suggest one from a Hummer H2.

i would not buy one from them i have not heard any good things about them. I have heard it can take over 6 months for you to get some things and when you do get them they said that they dont fit very well

there was a guy on tahoeforum that had one and liked it, and there was a NBS owner on Z71TS that had one and liked it, neither mentioned it taking forever.

i still plan on buying from them, but getting it in writing it will be done on time and done correctly or i get my money back.

theres no way that would be as solid as a bumper. i bet it rattles around like a bike rack or any other reciever accessory.

I have the Kennesaw Mountain bumper and have been very happy with it. How long it take to get appears to be affected by the options.

Here's a picture of mine. I have since epoxy coated it and oiled that jack.

I was thinking of getting a used Hummer tire carrier and adapting it to my rear bumper. The spare and the sub woofer in the back take up a lot of room.
