I just got a 2002 Tahoe, 2wd, 5.3L with the towing package. Just wondering if you could help me with some info.

What was the horsepower rating of the 5.3 in 2002??

What transmission do I have??

With the tow package, what is the gear ratio in the rear??


Is there a site that gives all the info for the codes on these vehicles???

I appreciate any help you guys can give me.

you'll need to check the RPO codes in your glove box but you probably have 3.73 or 3.42 gears. Easiest way to check is calling the dealer with your vin, ask for the service manager.
