Fixing a intake gasket leak on a 95 Tahoe, decided I might as well drop in an Edelbrock intake. Anyway, can you guys check and make sure all my bolts are in the right place, do not want to FUBAR things.. Going clockwise from the front:

LMAO yes, do that!

LoL compare my bolts to yours and make sure they are all in the right spot. Clean95 can help too haha. "This bolt goes here not there" and "switch these around". Shit like that LoL

I just need pictures that will help me confirm that all the bolts are where they should be and how and where the brackets will bolt up. So if you could go around your intake and snap pictures like I did that would be great.

I do not want to install this thing, torque everything down and find out a bolt is in the wrong spot lol

Cool, thanks. And there is a ground wire going to the one of the thermostat bolts and another ground going to one of the front right bolts?

Aint that some shit! Yeah, I thought this was going to be a quick and cheap intake gasket fix....not no more. New intake manifold, water pump and fan clutch, new cooling fittings, coolant sensor.

Decided to do a full tune up: New dizzy, ignition module, ignition coil, wires and spark plugs.

Also replaced the fuel injectors and assembly with a new one and added a fuel pressure regulator and fuel pressure gauge.

Hope I do not have to deal with anything for 100K miles.

Dizzy was off of ebay and installed a DynaMod ignition module in it. MSD wires and ingition coil. I have the Bosch platinum 2 spark plugs but I think I am just going to run AC Delcos and maybe open up the gap a bit. I will be installing shorty headers so I have to find something that will fit.

Well this was the original gasket and I have 85K on the engine if that gives you an idea. It is usually the front or rear RTV seals that will fail. Mine failed in the front. right corner.

So the bolts look good?

Speak now or forever hold your piece because I am dropping this thing in tomorrow!!

haks310

Thanks.

Yeah, first the 4 middle ones, the rear 4 and the front 4, all in a criss cross pattern. Torque is 35lbs IIRC

LoL I am going to drop it in tomorrow, nice day to go to the beach today.

So tomorrow I will drop it in and torque everything down...let it sit until Sunday and re-torque everything. After that, the fun will begin! Hopefully I do not run into anything serious along the way. Haven't received the MSD wires from SummiRacing, if anything I will go to Kragen and buy them and do a return when the ones from Summit Racing do get here. Not in a big rush though, slow and steady wins the way...well at least with some girls it does.

do you usually give it a day to retorque it?? never heard of that.. hmm well keep us posted!

haks310

Well I torque them down past the 35lbs it asks for and let the intake sit a day so the RTV can fully cure. Then I do my final check the next day and torque down again if needed.

That is perfect! It mounts to the alternator with a regular bolt, right? Not a double ended one and a nut like the other holddown.

Just noticed you don't have that bracket like I do, I don't think I even need it.....unless it goes somewhere else lmao
