Just had mine done at a body shop. Complete replacement 2005 z71, installed 500. Sure you could do it cheaper on your own.

I think that alot of carpet places will have the jute attached to the underside of the new carpet.
What is you plan for sound-deadening? I deadened my old 88 mustang with SecondSkin products and was pretty pleased. Quality stuff, reasonably priced.
Here is my deadening thread (http://www.secondskinaudio.com/forums/showthread.php?t=1408&highlight=1988+mustang).

You can find a direct replacement for your carpet. With or without mass backing (rubber between carpet and jute).

I bought a carpet kit on Ebay last month from a vendor called "adealsap". I did a lot of research on carpet kits and these guys seemed to have one of the better ones for the the price. It had jute already attached to the back, matched perfectly and only paid $250 shipped to my door. They also have an actual number you can call if you have any questions, problems or want to pay them over the phone. I called about color matching questions and the customer service was excellent and I had my carpet kit in a few days. Overall, I had a great experience with them and would recommend them if you wanted to do the job yourself.

Will get pictures as soon as possible.
